"Will you go out with me?" Matt asked. "Umm... What!" Liz replied. Matt repeated himself. He was cool with it. Liz never really listened but this time she listened closely the first time. "I.. I'm not sure what I should say," answered Liz. "You could say yes," Matt was thinking. "I mean your a really cool guy and all but I'm sorry, no," Liz said in that soft fragile voice of hers. Matt loved that voice but right now he was heartbroken. "Oh," Matt said with hurt in his voice. "Oh please don't be upset I just don't like you like that," said Liz. "It's fine don't worry," Matt plastered a big, fake smile on his face. "Oh, that's good," Liz said relived that Matt wasn't mad at her for saying no.

"Wow!" Liz was thinking on her way to math class. Last period of the day. It's very unnerving to know that your best friend has a crush on you. One more period and this would all be all over. Right?
