"Bye sweetheart"my mom calls out of the car window as I walk up to the gates of my new school. "Bye mom"I call over my shoulder as I show the guards at the gate my student ID I got in the mail when I moved here. The gates open and I step in already wishing I was back at New York, the courtyard is filled with students, there's a few groups of friends here and there. Like the Nerds,Geeks,Pops,Jocks,Athletes,Cheerleaders AKA the Pops also, Computer Geeks exc. sighing I walk over to a large blossom tree plopping down under it pulling my phone out. Im texting my friend back in New York,Isabel, when a shadow crosses over me, looking up I see a tanned boy with black hair and nerd glasses looking down at me"hi"I smile and he smiles back"hello I'm Thomas"he holds his hand out and I shake it"Braylee"I reply standing up"want me to show you around?"Thomas asks and I shrug slinging my bag over my shoulder"sure why not"we start walking towards the school.

"Hey Tom"a boy who looks like Thomas steps in front of us"go away Calum I'm trying to show Braylee around"Thomas says annoyance clear in his voice"well hello there"Calum smirks grabbing my hand and pressing a kiss to it, I blush"hi" "I can show you around I know a lot more places than little old Thomas here"Calum looks at Thomas and I look at Thomas"rain check?"he frowns a little"uh yeah sure"I grin kissing his cheek quickly before walking off with Calum. "So over there is the Music room its empty most of the day so I'll show you that later"he smirks looking at me and I laugh, he nods his head over to a group of boys and girls"them are my friends, Luke,Mikey,Ashton,Bree,Adrianna,and Holly"he grabs my hand pulling me over to them"hey guys this is Braylee"he throws his arm over my shoulders and I giggle"hi" they wave"hey"they say in unison"come on Braylee us girls will show you around, Calum's always trying to get into girls pants so be careful"a blonde girl walks up to me followed by a red head and dyed blue head.

I have two classes with Thomas,three with Calum,Bree,Luke,Adrianna,and Ashton, one with Michael and Holly and then I have a free period and lunch. First period is Musi,which I have with Thomas. "Class we have a new student, Braylee stand up please"Mrs.Myers says and I stand up waving and smiling"hello"I sit back down"okay class I'll be assigning you partners so we can start the project, Tyler and Megan,Hailey and Taylor,Piper and Kyle,Thomas and Braylee,Garret and Ryker,Aliza and Lizzie,and Fay and Mickey. Go to your partners and discuss what y'all wanna do"we all scramble around the room trying to find our partners, Thomas plops down in front of me and I smile opening my notebook"I think we should do a duet"I tell him and he smiles"me to" "great we can write our own song, so how about I come around your place after school so we can get started?"I ask looking at him and he nods"okay" we discuss what we want our song to be about for the rest of the hour.

Second period is Art which is with Calum,Bree,Luke,Adrianna,and Ashton,Third Period is Math which I have with Thomas again,Fourth Period is Chemistry with Michael and Holly, then I have Lunch,and then my free period. After school I ride with Thomas back to his house. "So um my brother likes to turn his stereo up really loud and his friends may be over oh and my mum loves hugging"he explains to me and I laugh"okay"we walk in and the smell of cookies instantly hits me,"Tommy is that you?"a womens voice calls out from the kitchen"yeah mum, I brought a friend over she's new to town"he calls back dropping his bag on the couch and his mum appears from the kitchen"oh hello I'm Joy"she smiles and I smile back"I'm Braylee"she hugs me tightly and I laugh hugging back"I'm glad Thomas has a friend" "mum I have friends"Thomas whines blushing, he grabs my wrist dragging me upstairs to his room where we spend four hours working on our song.

"I'm gonna use the bathroom"I tell him and he nods"okay just go down the hall and its on your left"he explains and I leave. I get down the hallway and look to my right seeing a door with the words KEEP OUT and STAY OUT OF MY ROOM THOMAS are written on it in black ink, along with a ton of pictures and stickers. "Like it?"a voice says from behind me and I spin around seeing Calum with just sweatpants on"yeah"I smile turning back to his door, my fingertips brush a picture of him,Thomas,and what I'm guessing is their dad"my dad left us when I was only 2 and Thomas was 1"Calum explains coming up beside me"I wish I still had my dad, he started doing all kinds of drugs and my mom got sick of it so she moved us down here while my brothers and sisters stayed with my nanna in New York"I feel his arms snake around my waist"I'm here to talk Braylee"he looks down at me as I continue looking at the pictures on his door"I'm here to talk to you Calum even though we only met today". What we didn't know was that Thomas was standing at his door watching Calum snake his arms around my waist and the sad look on his face.
