Jaemin doesn't care, he simply doesn't. Especially the circumstances, he's done being nice, being the best friend that supports everyone's choices.

The thing that had ticked him off was his best friend, Haechan, he did something to him that was unforgivable in Jaemin's book.

Lee Jeno, Jaemin's crush since the 3rd grade, Jaemin has been pretending to not be interested in him for seven years because he wasn't sure if he was gay. The happiest news he had heard was when Jeno announced that he liked men on twitter, mentioning that he had came out to his parents and they were supportive. Jaemin was happy for him, unlike his case on coming out, his parents took years to accept him and now they are at a civil place. If only his parents treated him like they did when he was "straight," but he'll take the monotone conversations if it meant he wouldn't be homeless due to disownment.

He had to pretend to be happy for Jeno when he was going through relationships like how a smoker goes through packs of cigarettes. He couldn't quite find out why Jeno's relationships never lasted long, he's glad but now he's wondering if Jeno is the red flag or if Jeno loves to ignore red flags in guys he sees. Jaemin didn't care, if he had the chance to have Jeno, he would simply accept his imperfections and toxicity, that's how in love Jaemin is. Would it get him hurt in the end? Probably, but if it meant he had the experience to have Lee Jeno as his boyfriend, then that would be a memory in his pocket book.

"What do you mean you said yes?," Jaemin asked, making him stop washing his dishes that he withheld until it formed a mountain, Haechan was sitting at the table doing his homework while Jaemin did his chores.

"Well, he asked me out and I just said yes, why?." Haechan asked nonchalantly.

That ticked off Jaemin, as if he hasn't been telling Haechan how much he loved Jeno and here he is telling him that he's dating him now. It's their 11th year of school and Jaemin still craves the feeling of holding Jeno's hand in the hallway, flaunting their relationship.

He used the brush to scrub the plates aggressively, trying to channel his anger through chores rather than making a scene or giving his best friend attitude. The emotions he's going through from that announcement; hurt that his best friend would do that and anger that Jeno asked him out instead of Jaemin. What makes him special? Jaemin thought as he placed the clean dish onto the rack that held the clean dishes and grabbed another dirty dish. He tries his best to maintain himself, trying not to make his resentment obvious because he doesn't have the energy to argue or make this awkward in their friendship.

"Nothing, It's just surprising." Jaemin replied in a calm tone. Channeling the anger through his chores is working surprisingly well but the hurt and hate in his chest hasn't subsided, he'll just scream into a pillow whenever Haechan goes home.

"I know right? Why me?." Haechan chuckled as he drew out an equation.

"Yeah, why you?" Jaemin chuckled, then he turned around to see a confused look on Haechan's face. He turned back around, bit down on his tongue and exhaled slowly through his nose, he didn't mean to say that, that energy was supposed to go to the dishes. Since dishes is his therapist right now.

"What is that supposed to mean?." Haechan asked, putting down the pencil, leaned back into the chair and crossed his arms.

Jaemin chuckled nervously, his thoughts too scrambled from overthinking about the situation. The one thing that gets him angrier is the fact Haechan is getting mad at his comment rather than actually being sorry for saying yes to the proposition. He turned around, leaned against the kitchen sink and made eye contact with the other, since looking away in a serious conversation is considered cowardly and he isn't a coward.
