I woke up trapped in Jai's arms. I was half expecting him to leave in the middle of the night, but I'm glad he didn't. His phone was practically blowing up. I could just make out a text from James saying "dude where the fuck are you?!" and similar messages from Luke, Daniel, and Beau. I shook him.
"Hey...Jai...!" He snored on. I rolled my eyes and pinched his nose. His eyes shot open, and he panicked for a moment. "Jesus Leah! Scared the shit out of me..." He sat up, breathing hard. I laughed loudly.
"Sorry...but your phone...you got a lot of messages." I pointed over to the nightstand. He scrolled up and down through the messages and I sighed. We just met again...does it really have to end now...?
Jai shut down his phone and slipped it into his pocket. "We're on a break. Id rather hang out with you honestly." He grinned.
"If you want to." I shrugged. "But I gotta take a shower. There's another bathroom downstairs of you want to take one too." I grabbed a towel and headed into my bathroom.
----- Jai's POV -----
I made my way down the stairs and into the other bathroom, turning on the shower head. I stood, leaning against the sink for a moment. I could hear Leah singing. I chuckled, climbing into the shower myself. I let myself take a long shower, so I could think about where I knew this girl from. I used to have a friend named Leah, years ago, but there's no way that this is the same Leah. She used to be so quiet and shy and only when we were alone was she comfortable. This girl, she's amazing. She's outgoing and funny and just...I don't even know. Plus, Leah lived in a totally different area. I'm just confusing myself...
I shook my head and turned the water off. I got dressed and went back upstairs to see Leah wrapped in a towel digging for clothes. She jumped. "Oh! Hey.." She laughed a little.
"I'll just close this for you." I smirked, shutting the door and waiting outside. A couple minutes later, she walked out the door and bumped right into me. "We seem to run into each other a lot.." I hugged her tightly for a moment, laughing. She looked kinda weirded out.
"What was that for?" She eyed me strangely. I shrugged.
"I like hugs.." I said after a moment. She rolled her eyes and pulled me down the stairs. I opened the door for her, and that was the first time I saw what she was wearing. Leah had her up, but it still looked long. She wore a thin white t-shirt, and pale blue skirt. I stood there staring at her, thank God she didn't notice. I walked out after her and we walked down the sidewalk.
"Where are we going?" I asked. She shrugged. "Where do you want to go?" An idea popped into my head. I knew there was a festival going on with rollercoasters and a bunch of rides. I grabbed her hand and started running.
"J-Jai..!" She wasn't expecting it, I looked back at her smiling face and grinned. "I know just where to go."
About a block before we reached the fairgrounds, we stopped running and walked. "Where are we going Jai?" Leah begged. I had been refusing to tell her. I stood behind her, putting my hands over her eyes. "Jai, come on!"
"Just a little further I swear!" I laughed, walking with her as she tried to peek out of the cracks in my fingers.
When we got to the gates, I uncovered her eyes.
