Synopsis:
The war between the Revolutionary Army and the Great Empire was interrupted when a more powerful empire from another continent called "Saderan Empire" began a surprise invasion in their continent, creating another war between two empires. With the Minister Honest was found dead along with others, Great General Budo call an armistice to forge an unlikely alliance to set their differences aside to fight a new & powerful threat.
Meanwhile, a Gate appears in Manila in the Philippines in 1973 as the Imperial forces(Roman soldiers by Earthlings), their monster legion & dragons from Sadera suddenly attacked & plunder the city and its people but the Armed Forces of the Philippines(AFP) forces along with 5 American soldiers(who were vacationing prior of this incident) managed to repulse the invaders from another world. The attack shocked the world during the ongoing tensions of the Cold War.
Known as "Second Battle of Manila" due of some casualties of many Filipinos but a counterattack by 5 Americans & AFP forces, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos declared a state of emergency as he calls the government of the United States to take action & support against the Saderan Empire for both justice & retribution. Fearing that another Gate will pop out soon, the US government agreed and send some of their military forces to the Philippines to launch a large expeditionary force inside the Gate.
Now, a new adventure filled of fantasy, magic, monsters, demons and assassinations meet with the modern warfare filled with guns, helicopters, planes & music. What would happen when the Night Raid & the Jaegers meet a small but organized battle hardened forces of US & AFP?
My Thoughts:
Originally, it supposed to be US-Soviet, Vietnamese and Philippine soldiers crossover idea but due of inconsistent ideas, I change only for US & Philippine forces but remain a crossover for Gate & Akame Ga Kill.
This is a Cold War AU where US forces never intervene during the Vietnam War but were send to reconnaissance and rescue missions in 'Nam while the Philippines became a superpower on its own right as "Asia's Tiger".
The Philippines on that time was altered. Its government was federal parliamentary republic(the Prime Minister was second head of the government instead of Vice President), a better diplomatic & economic ties and agrarian reforms.
A Communist-led coup in Borneo in 1963 which led the UK, Malaya(Malaysia) & Bornean Communists ceded 90% territory of North Borneo to the Philippines, a conservative Ferdinand Marcos was competent & benevolent leader unlike the OTL(also, he fought in WW2 for real) & he signed of New Economic Reform and Freedom of Press Act. He & Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr were friends instead of rivals from OTL and since there was no Communist or Separatist insurgents around, Martial Law never happen.
The United States history was also altered as well such as Thomas Edmund Dewey beat an incumbent president Harry S. Truman in 1948 elections, John F. Kennedy survived his assassination when someone intervened and stops Lee Harvey Oswald, Vietnam War happen but the US never intervene but was sent for reconnaissance & rescue missions in 'Nam.
The Cold War still happen and tensions until a Gate appears in Manila which begin the story. Imagine the Saderan Empire were having normal routine....until the skies sings "Fortunate Son" was heard as Huey & Cobra helicopters flying & tanks are rolling.
