'Well, well... look who's awake.' George turned his head to look at me. 'Where am I?' I got up. 'At a friends' place,' I replied and pointed at Mozzie behind me. 'Don't think you can move in here. I am only doing her a favor,' he scowled. 'Such a warm welcome,' he muttered. I threw him some clothes. 'I think this will fit...' he looked at it. 'Great...'
'I stiched your shoulder. The bullet went straight through. You were lucky with that.' He glanced at his shoulder. 'Right...' he muttered. While George was putting the clothes on I had given him, I walked up to the kitchen and started to make some food. I tilted my head as I felt a presence behind me. 'You got any pickles?' The deep voice sent shivers down my spine. 'No, Mozzie doesn't eat pickles,' I muttered. 'A shame, I love them...' He leaned against the counter and smirked a little. 'What do you want?'

'I know females can be feisty but you....' I shot him a glare. 'Since you're mocking me off, you are good enough to make your own food,' I muttered. 'I love to have someone make my food. 'I shouldn't have let you bled to death,' I scowled. He pushed me aside and continued what I had been doing seconds ago. 'Do you know what Hades it up to or are you a waste of time?' He snorted. 'Are you always this nice?' he asked. 'This isn't a tea party nor an opportunity for you to join a pack. '

'Who says I want to join a pack. I am just traveling.'
'Which pack kicked you out?'
'I thought we were here to talk about Hades.'
'So, what do you know?'
'What do I get in return?'
'Seriously?'

He shrugged and popped a tomato in his mouth. I sucked in a breath and counted to ten before answering. 'What do you want?' He turned. 'Now, we are talking... You let me help you with your little investigation,' he said. 'Why would you, a lone wolf, interfere in a war that's none of your business?' I mocked. 'I love the thrill. I am alone for some time and besides, you need me because I know a lot about Hades. I travel a lot and I hear a lot. People talk...' I hummed and eyed him. 'Fine, you can stick around,' I sulked. 'Perfect...' He grabbed the plate and walked into the living room, sitting down.

He's arrogant and I can't stand him. I followed him slowly and sat down next to Mozzie. 'So, where are you from?' I asked. 'New York.' I frowned. 'A werewolf in New York?' I mocked. 'Believe it or not... but I am a businessman,' he said. 'Then why did you leave New York?' I mocked. 'It became a bit boring. I had a few weeks off anyway so...' I shook my head. 'That doesn't make any sense... what is the real reason you left?' I repeated. 'I am looking for my mate.' I hummed and slumped back in the chair. 'Whatever, can we go back to Hades?' I asked. 'I have met Hades a while back, surprisingly enough, in New York.'

'Why?'

'I don't know the exact reason for his visit but he was talking to another lone wolf. It's not uncommon for lone wolves to settle in a city. I don't know what Hades wanted from him. I only know that he was in New York.' He shrugged his shoulders and popped some food in his mouth. 'Do you think you can find the guy?' he stopped chewing. 'You want to go to New York? You? The one who barely gets out of the forest?' he mocked. 'Yes, and you are going to help me,' I said. 'I don't have time for all of this, doll. I am a busy man, and I have a lot of things to do.' I snorted and got up. 'Yeah, with finding your mate? You are going to help me or I'll tell my father everything right away.'

'Is she always like this? I guess I really start to like this behavior...' he grinned. Mozzie rolled his eyes. 'How do we get in New York?' I asked. The male groaned and slumped back. 'Can I at least enjoy my meal?' he asked with a roll of his eyes. I slowly sat back down and exhanged a look with Mozzie. I might dump George along the way if he keeps being his... arrogant self and hit him if he calls me 'doll' one more time. I want to solve this as fast as possible so I can leave this all behind. 'So, here's the deal... you don't know anything about the 'real' world obviously. While you running around the woods, I deal with real problems. I want to be in this, but I also want to make clear that I don't want to become a target. If that turns out to be the case, I will leave you, clear?'

'Damn, you truly are a team player, huh? That for a wolf.'

'I am a lone wolf, remember? I don't need and want a pack.' I snorted and rolled my eyes. George chewed his last bite and got up. 'Alright, that was good. I can't change in a wolf, not with this injury, so I gess we need to take call a cab,' he said. 'Mozzie? If my dad passes by, can you tell him I went to New York but will return as soon as possible?' The old man slumped back in his rocking chair and nodded. 'As long as I don't have to see him anymore, I will do everything,' he muttered. 'Great, thanks Mozz.' I followed George. 'Are you sure you wanna do this? It might be a dead end,' he said. 'I don't care. I just want to know what Hades is up too and if this guy is a lead, I will take the risk.'

He snorted, opening the door for me. 'Alright, after you pretty lady.' I shot him a glare as I passed. I wanted to punch that smug look off his face. His ego is bigger than the distance between the earth and moon.
