3. THE CONFRONTATION AND COMFORT

Gungun who was hearing her went numbed, the Kulshresths could see that, the countless tears were flowing down her cheeks on her accusations as she whispered, "I guess, I failed...as a daughter."

Anubhav who was sitting beside her, heard what she whispered, infact everyone did, except Maya. The Kulshresths now were done with Maya, they made their Gungun shed tears, it was done for them while hearing her accusations on Gungun as Sargam said from behind to Maya, "Maya Ji! Ab Gungun ke khilaaf ek shabd nahi!"

As soon Maya heard what Sargam said, she spoke up to Gungun, "Tum ab bhi vahin ho? Tum vahaan itni der kaise ruk sakti ho!?"

"Maya Ji, yeh ab uska bhi ghar hai toh Gungun yahaan kitni der bhi ruk sakti hai, usse humme se koi vajah nahi puchega!" said Charudatt, for the first time rudeness was visible in his tone.

Gungun didn't said anything, she was so engrossed in her thoughts that she could just sit there like a statue and hear what they say, when Goli spoke up, "Aur Gungun kaisi beti hai, aapse behtar hum jaante hain! Voh bohot achi hai...."

"World ki best beti aur hone wali bahu" added Golu from behind.

Gungun there wasn't in state to say anything seeing so much love getting showered on her from the Kulshresths when Maya said, "Gungun ghar aao! Vaise bhi tumhare paas kahin aur rehne ki jagah hai bhi!?"

"Zaroorat padi toh hotel mein rahungi, voh nahi mila toh road pe rahungi, but vahaan nahi aaungi!" yelled Gungun, leaving everyone starrled as Anubhav looked at Gungun and said, "Tum yahin rahogi. Kahin aur jaane ki zaroorat hi kya hai? Vaise bhi Bade Papa ne kaha ki tum apni marzi se yahaan ruk sakti ho!"

"Aur nahi toh kya?" said Yug from behind.

Everyone said in agreement that Gungun shoud have a night stay there only as Gungun obliged to their orders and pleadings, when Anubhav answered to Maya, "Gungun humare saath ruk rhi hai. I don't think aapko problem honi chahiye and agr hai toh it's none of our problem."

Maya was about to say something when Anubhav disconnected the call, as now everyone's attention went to Gungun who was sobbing hysterically, as Chandragupt said softly, "Unki baaton pe dhyaan mat do Beta..."

Goli went near her, as she side hugged Gungun, patting her head affectionately. Gungun didn't knew what to say, as she got up and said, "Main thik hoon, don't worry. Vaise bhi late hogya hai, aap log so jaiye, main yahaan hall mein hi rahungi....'

"Lekin Gungun beta..." started Sargam but was interrupted as Gungun said, "Musical Aunty, vaise bhi mujhe akele rehne ki aadat hai.... Aap sab pareshaan mat hoiye...."

Now, who could win against Gungun's stubbornness as they made their way inside, while Gungun sat down on the couch tirelessly.

Gungun held her head, as a sob escaped her lips, she was tired of Maya and her insults as she rested her head on the head rest of the couch, as she closed her eyes, letting the tears flow down. This is her honest reality of life, this is what happens to her everytime Maya calls her, this is how everytime she breaks down and then the other moment, pretends to be all happy even though she was, but how can someone be exactly 'fine' after facing so much.

Gungun slipped into a deep slumber unknown to herself, when Anubhav who was watching her all this time from behind the pillar, came near her as he started to massage her forehead without making any noise. For the second time in the day did Anubhav found Gungun this broken, and the reason was none other then her Mom again.
