2 „Old or new, but still a friend"

While Y / N was walking along the path with Harry, she heard strange noises. They reminded her of the sound of dry grasses from her beloved Ludlow, so despite her companion's warnings, she decided to check their source. She left the path and entered a dense but not dark forest, and Harry followed her as it was he who was carrying the munchkins' magic gift. They froze as they saw that the sounds were made by a scarecrow. "My head is full of straw and people think I'm useless and short," lamented the creature, if you can call like that the straw tied to the cross of sticks. "I would give anything to have a brain," he continued. Y / N, who thought that nothing would surprise her, suggested to the scarecrow that he should go with them to the Wizard of Oz because he might be able to help him. The company gained another member. Later, during the conversation, Harry watched the straw friend all the time, and he watched him. Irritated, Y / N finally asked what they meant. Harry confessed that the scarecrow reminded him of one of his friends with which he was once very close. Then the straw men sprang up and he shouted, "Harold? Is that you?". Harry smiled. Could he just find his friend? Yes, that was a good answer. The friends rejoiced, and confused and embarrassed Y / N looked at them curiously.
- This is Louis. My best friend, Harry said, noticing her
"At least he was once," he added gloomily.
“Ooh, Harold doesn't end us so quickly,” Louis chuckled.
- First the munchkins and now the scarecrow? Y / N laughed
"Well, Dorothy, you have original taste when it comes to friends," she added sarcastically
- What am I hearing? Dwarfs? ”Louis laughed
"I'll explain it later," whispered Harry embarrassed.
The group continued walking down the forest path, but this time only Louis and Harry were having a conversation. Y / N walked beside them blushing to look at Louis his friend. Even though she had just met him and found him weird, nice, and harmless, but still a freak and his friend, Louis was more of her type, she felt jealous or at least something similar to this feeling. She couldn't be jealous. She was still young and in Ludlow even though the young men professed her love and offered to marriage her parents, she rejected their wishes and advances. However, the feeling was different. Y / N felt butterflies in her stomach and a strange urge to come into his presence. But maybe it was indigestion? No, she hasn't eaten since the day she came here. So maybe hunger? Also not, it's a completely different feeling.
-So what is it? - the girl thought hoping that nothing weirder would happen to her in this weird place.

So it happened. As in any fanfic, there must also be a romantic thread here. I tried to give it less or make it grow slowly and normally, but unfortunately, I'm running out of the original book that it modeled on ("The Wizard of Oz"), so I had to add it as it is. Although I have an interesting plan for this "relationship" it will be interesting. At least I think so 🤣. And yes, this romantic plot still makes more sense than the popular book series by Stephenie Meyer xD(no offense to anyone). I do not know when the next part will be published, but it will not appear sooner than the Polish version of chapter 3 (I usually write in polish first), and because I have a birthday soon and I will get some new books, I probably gonna be more likely to read them, than writing fanfic, sorry 😅.
