Isabella's Point of View

"Aunt Victoria! Uncle Nathan! Its Izzie and Sofia! We're here," I called opening the heavy glass door into my Aunt and Uncles modern estate. I heard the sound of shoes clicking across the marbles floor as Victoria and Nathan greeted us.

"Isabella! Sofia! Welcome. Oh my, you two have grown since we last saw you. I'm so glad your mother let you stay with me, she's always been a little overprotective of the two of you. Come, come in and lets put your bags in your rooms," My aunt said cheerfully, addressing me by my full name, as she squeezed each of us. She had always refused to call me Izzie, for she didn't think it was proper enough.

"So good to see your girls, let me help you with your bags," Uncle Nathan responded picking up our bags by the handles. "Follow me to your rooms."

Sofia and I followed them through the simple hallway as we glanced in every direction.

My aunt and I always bonded when I was little but I was never allowed to come see her. My mother though California was filled with too many fake people trying to fit in, so she never let me visit. Now that i'm thinking about it, she wasn't exactly wrong. Aunt Victoria had gotten a nip and tuck or two, but she did what she had to do and I admired her for that. Sofia was in her sophomore year of college and thought it would be easier to stay with my aunt, rather than stay in the dorms. I on the other hand, was a junior in high school. Starting a new school would be hard especial half way though high school but I convinced myself that I would manage.

"Sofia, your room is on the left, and Isabella, yours is on the right," My aunt said directing us to the general vicinity of our rooms. I was fairly shocked at the massive room that I would share with no one but myself. It has a glass desk for my studies (ha), a king bed with a feathered comforter, a walk in closet and a pearl white bathroom. I stood mesmerized by the vastness of just my bathroom, which was bigger than my bedroom at home. I dropped my bags on the wooden floor and walked around exploring my new found love. It really hit me when I opened my closet to discover a selection of garments that my aunt had picked out just for me. There was no doubt in my mind that I wouldn't love it here.

"Aunt Victoria! Your amazing! You picked out all these clothes for us?" I said hugging my aunt. "Well I figured you would need clothes for all the social gatherings you and Sofia will be welcome to join us at. Speaking of which, you both are welcome to join us at the Clarks tonight for a charity Gala. It would be a great opportunity for you to to meet some people while you're here."

"Of course, we'd be delighted to," Sofia replied.

"Wonderful, we leave at eight," Nathan responded as he headed back to the living room. We caught up for a few hours and updated them on what they had missed basically all our lives.

Later, I joined the abundance of clothes in my closet, examining them one by one, in preparation for what I would be wearing to my first elite event. I had never see so many different materials and patterns in my entire life. As the time whittled away, I settled on a strapless, royal blue, chiffon gown. I was mesmerized by the jewels around the waist and the chest area of the dress. I picked a pair of silver pumps and a silver clutch to match. I did my makeup and hair and then slipped into the dress. It fit like a glove and I adored how my aunt loved fashion as much as I did. I finished it off with some simple jewelry and then went to check on Sofia. I knocked on the door and opened it without waiting for a response.

"Wow Sof, you look hot," I said admiring her similar, but purple, dress selection.

"Thanks, Aunt Victoria is my new favorite person," Sofia said chuckling and admiring herself in her full length mirror.

"So, do you think there will be guys our age here or is it just for rich old people?" I asked praying there would be some attractive men for me to get my hands on.

"Can't you go a day without a guy?" Sofia responded rolling her eyes.

"No, thats what you're for," I added teasing my sister. She nudged me in the shoulder as a sign of disapproval.

The two of us headed to meet Aunt Victoria and Uncle Nathan in the foyer. They looked equally enchanting and the four of us departing for the Clarks house. Victoria told us that the Clarks were friends of theirs that were equally high up in status. Soon I would be attending my first elite event and eventually I would reach my full potential like my aunt. I had always admired Victoria. Although she was rich, she was still kind hearted. She always put her family first and gave back to those in need. People like her deserved to be in the spotlight. Unfortunately, she and Nathan had no kids of her own to share her fortune with. The two never rally had time with all the traveling they did and eventually the window of opportunity passed.

Our car pulled up to massive manor with dozens of people walking around the grounds. By now, it had gotten dark out but the house illuminated the streets for blocks. We got out of the car and entered through the grand front doors. I had never encountered anything like this before. There were hundreds of people in magnificent gowns and suits and tables of foods that I had never even heard of. The music was being performed live and the ballroom that the event took place in had to have been bigger than my house back home. Sofia and I stood in amazement over our first exclusive event.
