The hot sun beat down on Shimi as she worked on the power converter, It had been malfunctioning for most of the day, so the normally cool house was very warm. After two more hours, she got the converter fixed. Then, as she looked out into the endless desert, her mind began to wander, then she stopped. Shimi bit her lip to try to stop herself from crying. She thought about him. Always. Her beloved Anakin, her only son, gone to be a Jedi. She hadn't seen him in seventeen years, and she knew that she would never see him again. A Jedi didn't need to bother with outer rim people like her. What Shimi didn't know was that Anakin was coming to visit her.
