I'm finally back in school. I took the motorcycle today only to find Bella hanging out with the Cullens. They looked uncomfortable, but forced smiles across their faces.
Edward caught my questioning gaze and nudged Maggie. She looked at him questionably but realized what he wanted when he tilted his head and subtly glanced at me. When she caught sight of me, she motioned to the back of the school with her hand before walking over. I casually walked over and we stood behind the school out of sight and given privacy from eavesdroppers and wandering eyes aka Bella.
"What's up Mags? I thought you guys hated Bella after she tried to molest Edward in class" I said as if I couldn't care less as I leaned against the building and lit up a cigarette. I picked up Masky's bad habit after spending two weeks with him.
For a little background it wasn't a period. Apparently females with Alexandria Genesis don't get periods. I had a cyst that ruptured during the attack and was slowly killing me. Cora forced dad to take us to the hospital because something was wrong when I didn't stop bleeding profusely. I had to have surgery and almost lost an ovary. Now, five days later, I'm at school with pain meds and stitches that'll form a scar on my lower abdomen.
"Things change- like you smoke now?" Maggie started shakily with her thick Irish accent while keeping her eyes on the brick wall. I raised a brow and chuckled sarcastically the pain meds I was given making me slightly loopy "Not that much in so little time. As for the cigs," I held up my pack that Masky gave me "a friend got me hooked after I promised some of my baked goodies" I chuckled after remembering that once I was healed I needed to bake an assortment of cheesecakes for the little addict "But Bella and you guys? That's huge. Especially since you and I a both know that Rosalie would rather shave her head than be 'friends' with Isabella Swan."
I pushed myself off the wall and walked over to the 5'4 female that stood over my 5'2 height I put the cigarette up to my lips and inhaled before exhaling to the side "Now what's really going on? Hm? Or should I start the guessing game?" Maggie remained silent as she stared at her black Mary Janes while nibbling on her lower lip. I took another drag of my cigarette and sighed out the smoke "I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Bella found out about you guys being vampires and blackmailing you into being friends with her" Maggie's head snapped up to meet my gaze.
"I-I-I don't— I'm not-" I quirked a brow and gave her an amused lazy smirk at her stutters and chuckled again "Don't sweat it. I'm not interested in exposing you or your family" I waved the hand that held my cigarette dismissively "But I will help you" Maggie looked startled and confused "Why would you want to help us?" She asked suspiciously, I sighed before dropping the butt and squashing it under my shoes "Isn't obvious Mags?" Maggie shook her head.
"Your family are the first people to automatically accept me with my" I gestured to my hair and eyes beneath my shades "less than normal appearance" realization dawned on her face and she softened up.
"We should head back, bell's about to ring" I said before headed towards class.
~~~timeskip~~~ I sat at my lunch table with Angela and our group as Jessica and Lauren complained about Bella completely ditching them for the Cullens. I rolled my eyes as I munched on my lunch that Cora made for me since I wasn't allowed to cook until I was off my meds.

"You really shouldn't be surprised" I commented offhandedly between bites of a carrot stick. This caught the two whining girls attention "What's that supposed to mean?" Lauren demanded I swallowed my food and leaned forward while resting my chin on my palm.
"Bella's shallow, selfish, and an attention seeker. Being friends with you did give her popularity and attention, but not as much as the Cullens had and would give her. Of course Bella would've ditched you for the Cullens she's very easily disloyal and strives to be in the spotlight, you girls didn't meet her needs or desires" I said emotionlessly as I stared at the Cullen table.
They looked stunned by my blunt and abrasive explanation as usually I was quiet and borderline mute. This was new.
Seeing their surprised faces I obliviously asked "What?" Angela was the first to speak "What meds did they put you on?" " 'Meds'?" Lauren and Jessica asked in disgust "Post ope meds for pain" Angela explained shrugging "What kind of surgery?" Jessica asked eyeing my natural d-cup breasts. I knew what she was getting at so I placed an insane smile on my face and said "I had a cyst and it ruptured! I almost died! Or lost an ovary, but still! Death almost kissed me! The tease!" I cackled as they looked at me horrified "Seriously?"
Angela nodded and rubbed my lower back as I rested my head on her shoulder "Yeah, it's been five days, but the doctors are keeping her on antibiotics to prevent infection and pain pills for another week. She's a bit loopy" "A bit?" Lauren asked sarcastically "Watch your mouth! Angie's my bffaa" "Bffaa?" Eric asked in amusement "should I be jealous?" I sat up and nodded "I'm above you in the dynamics. Best friend forever and always. Now don't forget it!" Eric raised his hands in mock surrender and I leaned back on Angela's shoulder.
