"TUM?!" I exploded out. Oh shit... now everyones looking at me.

"Miss Ayesha, is something wrong?" Yusra asked, slightly confused. "Ahaha no nothing boss... I'm just excited to finally know who my partner is." I made up an answer on the spot whilst subtly side-eyeing Neil. Well played Avni, well played.

"Oh great! Okay, so by now you all most likely would have identified who your partner is. As I already stated, I have matched you with your partner as I believe you will work best with them due to similar skill. You will have 14 days to complete a smaller project together. We have a library open until midnight on week days so feel free to use that as space, however I would encourage you all to use your own houses. Please use the rest of this time to get to know each other and I recommend exchanging numbers and emails for work purposes. I'll leave for a bit!" Yusra explained, and then walked out the room.

As everyone introduced themselves to their partners, I sat there. I didn't even need to look in his direction to know for a fact that he is once again staring at me; I can feel those eyes piercing into my soul. I turned towards him, still with an unimpressed look on my face to find him looking at me with that same playful smirk on his face... what a dickhead. I very loudly announced myself as I jumped up from my chair and trotted towards him with my arms folded. "Yeah hi," I said reluctantly. No matter how much attitude I gave to this man, he never changed. Why? I would have expected by now for him to give up and walk off, or shout at me or something; not that I wanted that to happen or anything because i'd probably cry, and then have flashbacks and then i don't even know.
"Hey, how you feeling?" He replied with a sweet tone of voice. Why does he always want to know how i'm doing? "uh yeah fine thanks?" I said unbothered. "Oh also, do you know how I ended up at home last night?"

HIS POV:

I would have to lie, otherwise she won't let me help her again. I looked into her big eyes full of mystery and said "no, I looked around to check if you'd be safe and then I left." I wasn't sure what answer she wanted, but I also don't want her to work out that I was the one that wrote her that note. I knew she found it because the phone that was clutched so tightly in her right hand had no chit inside it.
In response she just nodded.
"Okay, this is my number, email and house address. If you ever need me, call me. Would you like to come to mine tomorrow to start it?" I welcomely said.

"yeah alright that's fine, that's my phone number and email." She dryly responded. We took each other's phones and added our numbers onto them, whilst she wasn't looking I added my second phone number too as a hidden contact. It won't tell her that she has the number saved but it will allow me to message her.

Soon after some more small talks, Yusra returned and indicated that we can go now.
These next two weeks are going to be vital.
