AVNI'S POV:
I was beyond frightened to go to a man's house alone, but i'm slightly relieved it's someone i've met before. In order to try and calm my nerves, I called Neela Maa:
Neela Maa: Hi baccha, aap kaise hain?
Avni: I'm okay Maa, I miss you.
Neela Maa: I know baccha, I'm sorry but work has been so busy lately, but next week I get a break remember?
Avni: Okay then Maa, just hurry up and finish please. Anyway, I wanted to talk to you about something quickly.
Neela Maa: Yes what's up?
Avni: So I told you I got a place in AZ INDUSTRIES, and i'm really happy of course but... she's assigned us with a partner for two weeks and we have to work together towards this project. I've been assigned to go with... a guy. His name is Neil, and i'm about to go to his house to start it. I'm just... you know-
Neela Maa: Yes I know what you're trying to say baccha. I'll tell you one thing; what your dad was is not a trait seen in every man. You have to step out of this protective layer you've created around your heart. You have to learn to use your past as your strength. Thanks to your father, you know what the red flags are in a man, unlike others you know when to back out before it's too late, you know how a man shouldn't act. Bas ek baar koshish karo... step out of your comfort zone. I promise you baccha, main tumhen kuch nahin hone doongi. Maybe, this Neil will slowly help you.
Avni: Maa... I love you, thank you so much. This is all I wanted to hear from you, and Maa YOU are my strength. I wouldn't be standing here today if it wasn't for you.
Neela Maa: I'm with you every step of the way. I love you too, now go get ready and text me when you get there, when you leave and when you get home okay? I promise you, it will be okay. I'm sure he's a nice guy.
Avni: I will Maa, thank you. Yes I guess he's quite nice, I've met him before.
Neela Maa: I know you've met him before baccha.
Avni: Wait, how do you know I've met him before?
Neela Maa: Never mind that... okay now go, byebye.
Avni: Okay... bye Maa.
How the fuck does she know that i've met him before?? Maybe I've said something once. Oh well, time to get ready. My anxiety subsided after hearing Neela Maa's words... I'm sure it will be fine. Avni Ayesha, it's time you step out of your protection layer and stop being a pussy.
