Kuroo+Reader have been dating since their second year and are in their last few weeks of year 3 at high school

"I'm here, Tetsu. What's the matter? Is something wrong?", you asked him a little concerned. He had rang you the minute you finished your last lesson for the day. "It is serious. We should sit for this one, (Y/n).", he told you and guided you to the coffee table in his parents' living room. You both sat down and he started explaining himself: "So, I got accepted into a university." "But that's great, right? Which one? The one in Tokyo you were looking at or the one in Yokohama?", you asked as your smile grew a little after a wave of relief coming over you. But Kuroo shook his head.

"No. It's in... Hiroshima...", he answered. You froze and stared at him. "Hi-Hiroshima? But- but that's... almost on the other side of the country..." Kuroo exhaled and nodded. "I know, but none of the other universities wanted me and the study courses at Hiroshima University are a lot more flexible than others.", Kuroo told you with a serious face expression. You were about to say something but stopped yourself and thought about something.

"So, you wanna make this work long distance?", you asked quietly and looked up at him. Kuroo exhaled deeply and answered: "Look, (Y/n), I know that we love each other and you really do mean the world to me but I just don't think that we could last for 4 years without seeing each other-" "Without seeing each other? Tetsu, you know that we can meet during the holidays, right?", you asked with a small laugh of disbelief of what you just heard. "Yes, but those only last for a few days.", Kuroo answered. "So? That not enough for you, Mr bigshot-captain?", you asked sarcastically.

Kuroo's face grew a frown and he started again: "(Y/n), are you seriously trying to cling to the idea of a long distance relationship?" This comment left you speechless and you were lost for words. "It's just that I don't want us falling apart because of the distance.", Kuroo explained. you looked up at him as you found the right words to say. "So, you're giving up on us? That's how much I mean to you?", you asked him. "What? No, of course I'm not giving up on us. I'm just trying to be realistic here?", Kuroo explained.

"Realistic? That would entail us committing to this relationship no matter what, Tetsuro." You stood up and walked a few steps towards the exit. "I just thought that I meant as much to you as much as you mean to me, but clearly I misread the situation.", you told him, turning towards him with a sad expression. "Wait! (Y/n)! I didn't mean it like that. Of course you mean a lot to me, but-" "But not as much as your education. I get it. I'm in the way of your future.", you interrupted him and took your bag from the floor. "Goodbye, Tetsuro Kuroo. Enjoy Hiroshima.", you said before leaving his parents' house and walking fast towards the bus station. Kuroo had called after you but you ignored him. You also ignored his calls and even blocked him on the bus ride home. Luckily the bus had just arrived when Kuroo had caught up to you and you got on on time.

You were shaking the whole ride home which caught the attention of a few passengers. But when an elderly lady asked you if everything was alright, you only shook your head and told her you were nervous. You got off at your stop and slowly walked home. But before you could search for the keys to the apartment you shared with your best friends Oikawa and Iwaizumi, you got a call from someone. "Kenma?", you asked yourself quietly and answered the call.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n)? Are you there? What happened? Kuroo just rang me and told me he screwed up with you.", Kenma said before you could even greet him. "'Screwed up' is one way of saying it. He got accepted into Hiroshima University.", you explained. "What? I didn't even know he applied there." "Well, he did and he got in. But Kuroo doesn't believe in long distance relationships." "Wait... He broke up with you?", Kenma asked in disbelief. "No, I broke up with him before he could. I realised how little I mean to him and that he'd rather have a flexible education than a girlfriend, so I ended it right there.", you explained and heard Kenma sigh deeply. "(Y/n)... You didn't let him finish...", you heard Kenma murmur on the other end of the call. "What?", you asked confused.

"(Y/n)! (Y/n)! Don't go in yet! Please!", you heard Kuroo's voice call from a distance and you turned around with your eyes wide open. "Tetsu?", you asked baffled, "What are you doing here?" "Explaining myself...", Kuroo told you a little out of breath as he walked towards you. "Explain what? Why Hiroshima is so much better than Tokyo?", you asked him with a frown. "No, why you should join me and move to Hiroshima with me.", Kuroo told you. Your eyes widened again and you felt your heart beat faster after hearing his words. "M-mo-move to H-Hiroshima with you?", you asked with a stutter still stunned by what he had just said.

Kuroo nodded and gently grabbed your shoulders. "(Y/n), these past years with you have been the best of my life and I never want to spend one without you. I think that we're ready to live together. I know that we've only been dating for almost 2 years but I'm certain that it's your face I want to wake up to in the mornings and it's your face that I want to see last before falling asleep.", he told you as he looked you straight in the eyes. you hadn't said a word after he finished which made him worry about having completely screwed up. "(Y/n)? Please... please just say-"

But before he could continue you had already pressed your lips against his and flung your arms around his neck. Kuroo was completely taken aback by your actions but reacted to your kiss by putting his arms around your waist. After a long kiss you two separated and Kuroo took your cheeks in his hands asking: "So, does that mean?" "Yes, Tetsu.", you sniffed after tears had built up during the kiss, "I'd love to move in with you. But... What about a university for me?" "There is the same study course at Hiroshima University as the one at Tokyo University. I checked and you have about 3 weeks to apply and get an interview.", Kuroo explained and kissed your forehead, "But I'm sure you'll get in. You're so passionate about that field and have good grades."

"But what if I don't get in, Tetsu?", you asked him as your sad face returned. "Highly unlikely, but we will make it work. And yes... I've thought about it and... a long distance relationship seems very feasible to me now. I guess I was just scared that you'd get tired of not seeing me and that you'd find someone else in Tokyo... Someone who can satisfy your needs when I'm not there...", Kuroo explained, a little depressed. "Tetsu...", you sighed and kissed him on the mouth again, "I would never go behind your back like that. I told you even before we started dating that I'd sit down with my partner and talk about it rather than cheat on them, right?" You looked into Kuroo's eyes and he nodded.

"Yeah. I trust you, (Y/n).", he told you. "I trust you, too. And more importantly... I love you.", you said and pecked his lips and cheeks. "I love you, too, (Y/n).", he answered and hugged you tightly. After he released you from the hug, you got an idea. "Why don't we go inside and look at the application form for Hiroshima University?", you suggested. Kuroo was intrigued and nodded. You smiled and unlocked the front door you two had been standing in front of the entire time. Then you took his hand and took him to your room. After he closed the door behind him you went over to your desk and pulled your chair out.

"Wait a minute...", Kuroo stopped you. You turned your head in his direction and he came closer. Before you could ask what was wrong, he pulled the chair further away from the desk, sat down on it, dragged you onto his lap and scooted to the desk. "Tetsu! What are you doing?", you asked him flustered. "You don't have a second chair and I didn't want to sit on your bed alone.", Kuroo explained with a grin. "We would have both sat on the bed, you dummy...", you told him with a sigh. "Oh...", kuroo just said, but shrugged and hugged you from behind, "But this is more fun, right?" He started kissing your neck and his grip around you tightened a little.

"T-Tetsu... The-the application...", you groaned and tried to pull your neck away from him. You heard him giggle behind you and then he stopped. "I'm just teasing you. We'll get to that later, kitten.", he whispered into your ear which made you shiver. Kuroo chuckled again and kissed your cheek from behind. "What are you waiting for, (Y/n)? The application form isn't going to fill itself.", he told you with a grin. "Sh-shut up! I'm on it, alright!", you snapped at him and opened your laptop to go to the website of Hiroshima University. Kuroo chuckled again and kissed your head.

"Easy now, kitten. You'll get on it later. Don't worry.", Kuroo told you in a seductive tone. This made you blush again and you rammed your elbow into his stomach. "Ouch, (Y/n)... Damn that hurt...", he groaned and held his stomach with one hand. "That's what you get for teasing me. Now help me fill out the form or you'll be leaving before dinner, okay?"
