Janet was living a normal life as the pretty 3rd year  high school nerd topping all the exams winning all the interschool solo quiz until Aiden had to come and ruin it making her place 2nd in the whole school

well, Janet didn't only study for herself but for her mom who had to sell her body to pay for her expenses and Janet working her ass off at her 2 part time jobs as a cashier at a local supermarket and a babysitter only for her position to be stolen by a rich dude's son who won't enter the school gate without a bodyguard 

"sweetie I know you're trying to help me but neglecting your health isn't right" 

" I know mom but when we get rich you and me will have all the fun we missed out on we will go to Paris your dream place ! and for that I am working hard!"

"aww.. honey.....I dont deserve....you''

I need to study even harder to reclaim my position from that aiden

timeskip[ next day in school]

"okay class I want you all to read from page 43 to 48 and do ex. 3.9 as homework and Janet and Aiden I want both of you to stay back "

I was a bit nervous did I do anything wrong, was a back in the first position ?

"Since both of you are our top students I want both of you participating as a team during the interschool quiz competition in the district . " 

she just stated that and left ... and that fucking bastard and I are in a fucking team... I never hated anyone more than him but deep down my heart liked him

"so partner ...." 

" remember that we are still rivals now and I'm only doing this for our school"

days and nights passed away like hours both of us studying our butt off  for the great quiz and soon the awaited day had arrived and I my anxiety was taking toll on me what if  we lose because because if me , my awkwardness 

"sweetie are you okay?''

"not really mom I'm feeling a bit nervous "

" honey you won a lot of these right don't worry you can do it !"

"yes mom...."

mom went to the audience and took a seat while my ass was waiting for the Aiden and there he was entering the hall as if he was some kind of  minister 

"hey partner~"

and I rolled my eyes 

"what took you so long?"

again I rolled my eyes forgetting the anxiety then an announcement was made 

"all the students present here let me explain the rules . there will be 3 rounds . where I will ask 5  questions the team which will give the correct answer fastest will win "

"yessss~"

the first two rounds went okay with 4 out of the  16 teams winning us winning luckily 

"okay so now for the 3rd round at one side we have *insert school* and * insert opponent school* "

*lets just ignore the first 4 questions*

"last question - What is the name of the main antagonist in the Shakespeare play Othello?"

Shit I  didn't read it shit shit shit then both aiden and one of the opponent pressed the buzzer at the same time and said "lago"

"Since both of the teams said the answer at the same time we will ask another question the one who answers the correct answer fastest will win " 

"bonus question- Which was the book written by Zoroaster?''

both of us pressed the buzzer and shouted at the same time "AVESTA'' we realised that we had won we pressed the buzzer and answered faster 

"and with that *insert school wins *  !!!!!!* my mom,teachers, aiden's bodyguards and some students of school clapped . I needed a moment to process everything that happened and the competition did have a 5 min break before the award ceremony 

"hey Janet" the great aiden was blushing ?

"yes what "

"can I have a moment " his bodyguard was giving him a good luck sign and we went  to a corridor 

" yea tell me what is it ?"

"um I think I like you...."

both of us were now blushing like crazy 

" never knew the great aiden blushed "

"anyways lets go and collect our prizes "

"and then can we go on a date ?"
