Jay drew away on his tablet. As an architectural design major, he was given a task to prepare a visual for his assignment. Seems easy enough, right?

Well, not quite. Unfortunately for Jay, he also had an assignment due that week for his finance class. But he decided to leave that for tomorrow, considering it wasn't his main focus.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Theo asked, entering Jay's studio.

"Huh? Just the architecture assignment." Jay responded, eyes fixated on his computer screen.

"Woah, Park Jongseong doing his assignments? I'm impressed." The older of the two teased, ruffling his hair slightly before leaning in to see his progress.

"Hm... Maybe you could curve the edges a bit? Someone's gonna get cut by that, I'm sure."

Jay followed his advice, making a curve in the building's corners. Huh, maybe they were too sharp.

"Anyways! I have a meeting with my dad. Something about after college plans, blah blah blah. Yuck." Theo cringed to himself. He grabbed his jacket and left after saying goodbye.

Theo was Jay's friend and just like him, was an architect major. Although he was under the history of architecture course.

Jay stayed up all night creating his design, trying to make every inch of space perfect and aligned. He doesn't know what would happen if he didn't make it perfect. His professor was a neat freak, after all.

It was around 2 am when he finished. He let out a sigh of relief after saving the project and closing up his computer. Suddenly, the sound of snoring caught his attention.

Turning around, he saw Theo fast asleep on the couch. He was probably doing some project in there, since they both shared the studio.

Jay rolled his eyes and decided to leave him there. Theo could close up in the morning.

He grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder, making sure to close the light on his way home.

When he made it back to his house, he immediately layed in his bed, exhausted.

Jay wasn't the type of guy to really do assignments, but he wanted to at least graduate. And with his current grades? He was barely scraping by.

Jay sighed for what felt like the nth time that day. Jake, his roommate, was fast asleep. Probably didn't have much to do that day.

After washing up, Jay got into his pyjamas, set his alarm, and was off to bed.

"Do you think we'll make it?" An unidentifiable boy, somewhat anxious and confident at the same time.

"Of course we will. I means we're us! We can do anything." Jay replied enthusiastically, but the enthusiasm was nothing but a hoax. He knew it was the end.

"Promise me you won't do anything stupid while I'm away?" The boy asked,  holding his pinky out.

"'Course!" Jay replied in English. "I never do anything stupid."

The boy rolled his eyes playfully, before linking their pinkies together. The boy leaned closer and closer, until their foreheads were touching.

"What's wrong, my love? Do you not think we'll win the war?" The boy said, both teasingly but worriedly.

"I just- why can't I go with you? I'm qualified..."

"Oh, Jay. You know that you're what they want. They'll capture and hurt you. I can never let that happen." The boy said endearingly.

"But..."

Just then, a large boom was heard from miles away, but close enough that it was within the village.

"Jay, you're the prince of this kingdom. I trust you to keep the townsfolks safe during the war." The boy unlinked their fingers and grabbed Jay's face, placing a kiss on his lips.

Suddenly, it was all clear to him. That bright red hair, the familiar deer-like eyes, red lips...

Jay jolted up from his bed with a gasp so loud that it had Jake knocking on his door.

"Go back to sleep, Jay! And stop mumbling stuff so loud. I could hear your thoughts from outside this door!" Jake announced, before walking away, footsteps fading until he was officially gone.

Jay didn't hear a single word his roommate said, still too shocked at whatever dream he was having.

"Heeseung?"
