You loved your new job,the atmosphere there always cheered you up. Not to mention the generous pay and schedule. The coworkers were so nice,and the food was delicious. You even love the swanky uniforms.
Plus there's Grilby.
Gosh,he was so hot. He was also pretty good looking.
You had been feeling amazing these past few weeks. You've been earning so much tips,like wow!. The patrons here can tip up to 50 bucks. Too bad that feeling never lasts long.
You politely smiled at the skeleton who was angrily glaring at you with those blank sockets. "what are you doing here human?" He grunted rudely.
"I'm working silly,I had to get a new job after your cousins got me fired from one of my other jobs" you grinned "what? Did you actually think I worked at the corner? For a genius you sure are gullible"
Grilby appears out of nowhere,flames crackling gently. He seemed to be concerned about the argument. He probably didn't want this to be escalated into a fight. "Sorry Grilby, I'm just gonna get what you told me to"
From the corner of your eye,you spot sand talking in hushed whispers. Most likely gossiping about you behind your back. You grab the bottle and head back to the bar. "Here's your ketchup sir" you gently slam it on the counter
"But I didn't order anything yet".
"Doesn't matter!,Grilby said to give someone matching your description a bottle of ketchup while he prepares your usual order" you said barely masking the anger in your voice. "Besides those rare moments when your not in the basement your chugging one of these"
You could sense his glare as you walked away. You breathed in and out,you just had to keep working and you'll have enough money for your own place in no time
You just had to not explode.
However.... You were so nervous. You did not want to be fired,this was a really good job and you loved all the coworkers. This would be the third time a skeleton got you fired. They spread lies about you to your boss
Geez,maybe they do belong with the banshee
After your shift Grilby approached you. Before you could say Anything he simply said.
"I'm not firing you"
Which shocked you since this was the first time you heard him speak actual words "but sans" you trailed off unable to finish your sentence.
"He said some colorful words about you,but I could tell your a good soul" he has e you a shoulder pat and returned to the bar. You wanted to say more but it was obvious he was done with this conversation.
You got your stuff packed up so you could go home. You were starving so you were definitely gonna stop for food on the way home.
Now you could've ordered from Grilby's but you weren't craving burgers and fries. Your mood wasn't completely ruined by sans so you were gonna splurge on dinner for you and mutt.
After a trips to a wing stop, Chinese restaurant and ice cream shop(don't judge me!) . You finally began your journey home. Like always that out in your stomach returned. It was always like a sixth sense for you when Abigail will start spewing bullshit about you to the guys.
Yu considered using Mutt to teleport you directly to your room,but you'd knew they would cause drama. You'll just have to confront them head on.
Inside Abigail was sitting on the couch "sobbing". There comforting her was Black,edge and red. She must have been feeling really jealous if she told the three most violent skeletons in the house the lie she came up with this time.
"I'm sorry Y/N I just couldn't keep this a secret from my mates I know how much you hate snitches" she sniffled
You were confused and amused
"what did I do nowAbigail?" you rolled your eyes
"I asked you to buy this weeks groceries since I was busy today" yeah busy fucking random guys. "so I gave you the Money I was gonna use" ah so she used the money to buy something she wanted since the others were too busy to take her one a shopping spree most likely
You were fullon grinning now,"yeah okay" you laughed "I get up before youbecause I actually have a fucking job,unlike you" you glared "secondly you never askedme a thing,now if you'llexcuse me" you make your way towards the stairs but a strong bony hand stops you.
"YOU ARE NOT EXCUSED HUMAN" Black huffed "IDEMAND YOU PAY BACK AT ONCE"
"ah~" you faked a moan to hide the pain as his claws digged into your skin "you know we really should start discussing safe words beforeplay time blacky" you playfully pouted.
Youexpected him to lt go like he usually does,but his grip seemed to be getting stronger.However you refused to show him your fear.
"Anyways I buy the food I eat,1/3rd of my money goes to rent" you hissed "that's more than you ever done,you whore" letting go of the flirty act you glare at Black "let me go" you headbutt him and he lets go in shock.
"hey y/n!" Abigail hollered as you were halfway up the stairs "your shouldn't be eating that your uniform is aready so tight" you could hear the amusemnt in her voice "how about you give it to us to make up for stealing the money,it's probably about the same price". When you glanced back you see edge glaring at you with the promise of toture in his eyes. You were to emotionally drained to fight back. Robotically yougently placed the bags of food down before going up the steps.
You locked your bedroom door. Not even saying a word to Mutt as your gathered your clothes. "Jellybean look at me" Youjust nownoticed he had beentrying to catch your attention "what's wrong?" he asked
"nothings wrong,why would anything be wrong?" you winced at the way your voice cracked,he gave you a look and it was over. You collapsed into his arms sobbing unaware of the wailing of your cracked green soul.
