Laura's Birthday

I arrived at the restaurant and  parked my bike and went inside the restaurant.

I forgot to tell you that I work here as a waiter. My cooking skills are just average.

I went to the dressing room and changed into a waiter outfit.

I went out of the room and greeted my friend.

" Hey Nick , how are you doing?"

" Hey LuciFer, I am great. What about you?" He replied.

Nick, Laura, Rose and I are friends, going to the same school.

" I am doing fine. Are you the only one who came today?" I  aksed.

" No, Rose is here too." He said and pointed towards a black-haired girl.

Some people were taking glances at her and blushing. She is quite popular here, you know.

After taking orders from the customers, Rose came towards us. She saw me and greeted me.

" Finally you are here LuciFer! " She said with a smile.

" Hey Rose."

" Ahh! I rather be the chef than being a waiter." She complained.

" Well, why don't you be the chef then?" I asked.

" Really?!"

" Yeah " I smiled at her.

" Thanks!" she said and hit my back lightly.

We talked for some time and eventually got to work.

I went and took orders from the customers. Most of them were Girls and they keep taking glances towards me.

'I wonder why they are looking towards me' --- Is what every Dense protagonist thinks, but I am not one of them.

I give a small smile towards them and next day, the girls bring more of their friends.

Its very great that just my smile is enough to bring more customers, thanks to them my manager has a good opinion on me.

The manager always says 'The more customers, the more profit I get'. He always have $$ in his eyes whenever he sees me. Am I just a money magnet to him?

Anyways after my shift, we gathered together. Rose and I got in Nick's car and he drove towards the birthday girl's house.

While travelling, we listened to some music to relieve our stress from work.

Rose and Nick kept arguing about which music we should listen to.

" Rose, you have a bad taste in your music. " Nick said while changing the song.

" I don't want to hear that from a guy who listens to just some plain music!"
Rose mocked Nick and changed the music.

" At least, it's better than listening to some shit we can't hear properly! "
Nick Complained and changed the music.

" Hey! Don't insult my Music! " Rose glared at John and changed the music.

" I can say the same for you!" Nick said and changed the music.

They kept arguing, until I started getting annoyed.

" If you guys don't Shut Up, I will destroy the music system." I said in a cold voice.

They gave a defeated look and stopped arguing. Ah, I somehow feel nice in this silence.

But that silence was broken when Rose started talking. I felt slightly annoyed, but I didn't say anything about it. She was just talking, not fighting, so I can't say anything.
