At the penthouse, 11:45AM

Lily woke up, glanced at her nightstand and saw how late it was. She couldn't really remember what had happened yesterday, the last thing she knew was that Rufus had brought her home. As she got reminded of that, a smile brushed over her face. She felt immensely thankful, he was such a good man. Then, she noticed a little note that also stood at her nightstand.

"Well, Good Morning Lil.. I guess?

Last night was extremely fun and stuff, but why did you have to drink that much? ;))

You know, if you hadn't done this, we could have been dancing all night long... but you did, so I couldn't hold myself and had to bring you home. Please don't be mad at me, it really was not my intention to cross one of your personal boundaries, I just wanted to make sure of your well-being.

Love, Rufus"

Lily's smile increased. She couldn't stop herself, she had to call him. She dialed his number and he immediately answered the call.

"Heyyy Rufus.." Lily began, with the most soft and cute sounding voice she could come up with.

"Uh hey Lil, what's going on? Are you alright?" Rufus really did care about her, and Lily could tell. Just from hearing each other's voice, both of their hearts started to beat faster and faster.

"Of course I am Rufus.. but just because of you. Thanks so much for taking care of me this night. I couldn't have woken up any better than this. I really appreciate this, I mean, I really appreciate you.. and everything about you."

Lily's voice deepened, her eyes started to fill up with tears. All the memories they have made together started to flash through her mind. She felt guilty for those 20 years in which they hadn't even spoken to eachother. She couldn't understand why she suddenly felt all of these emotions, it was just so random, she thought.

"Don't make me cry, atleast please try to sound a little happier, for me. You know what?"

"What?" Lily cried out a laugh.

"I think we should meet for lunch, I believe that you must be hungry... and also, I think you know why I am suggesting this. I'll pick you up in half an hour, okey?"

Lily sighed in gladness. "Tha- That actually does sound great. Uh yeah, sure, half an hour sounds good, I'll be ready. Bye."

"Bye Lil, see you than." A few seconds passed but Lily didn't hang up, so Rufus was kinda confused. "Why don't you hang up?" Rufus hoped that Lily could hear how intensely this moment made him smile.

"I- I don't know.. I should hang up now, right?"

"Uhh, yes, I think so"

Lily didn't actually want to hang up, she wanted to scream out how much she loved him. But she knew she had to wait, these 3 words can mean a lot, so she wanted to keep that for their lunch date. "I'll be awaiting you, Rufus."

Lily finally hung up. She felt like a teenager again when she started to get dressed. Today, she was going for something more casual but still classy enough for her liking. She put on a little bit of makeup and then went downstairs to drink a glass of water, to make sure she wouldn't pass out right away, just from seeing Rufus.
