Hayat was graceful at introducing herself to the new people and handling the media. Murat kept his arm glued to her waist to make her comfortable around so many strangers. She started feeling drowsy and decided to go to the washroom to freshen up. She waved Murat to stay as he was talking to someone and went alone. She was washing her face when someone turned the tap off. "Hey Hayat! I see you've gained some weight, huh? Or are you really.." "Yes, I'm pregnant, Didem. Good to see you. I think I'm done, see you later" Hayat replied. "You sure will see me! You turned out to be more clever than I thought." Hayat was surprised at Didem's words. Didem continued, "Were you too scared that Murat will get over you? You literally forced him to be a dad just so he doesn't throw you out of his life." "What is wrong with you, Didem? I won't hear a single word from you now!" Hayat countered with an agitated tone, her patience was giving up. Didem took her by her hand when Hayat was about to walk away, "don't act innocent now. You know men like Murat cannot live with a single woman for a long time. He did the same with me." At this point, anger took the best of Hayat and she twisted Didem's hand to break free, "He never loved you, Didem. Besides, you were the one who tried to take advantage of him. Speak one more word against my husband and I'll show you." Murat was getting anxious thinking what was taking Hayat so long. Didem blocked Hayat's way and spoke in her cunning voice, "I am back, Hayat. And you cannot do anything about it. I'll be working with your husband and he'll be mine, again. And you won't be able to do anything." Hayat was breathing heavily, something inside her snapped. She heard Murat calling out her name and couldn't hold back her tears. This was the last thing she wanted to do in front of Didem but she couldn't control herself. She ran out, panting heavily, rubbing away her tears, as Murat entered the bathroom to check on her. He was shocked to see Hayat running out in that condition, but everything started to make sense when he saw Didem. He gave her a deadly look and ran after Hayat. She was nowhere to be seen, so he instinctively ran out of the building. He could see her running down the street. He didn't even realise that it was raining until he saw Hayat struggling against the rain's current. "Hayat, stop! You'll hurt yourself. Please! What happened? Tell me— Stop, Hayat!!!" He was too confused to think about what words of Didem could make Hayat react this way. Naturally, Hayat was getting tired and stopped to catch some breath when a car with insane speed appeared in front of her. It would've crushed her if it was not for Murat, who jumped over to get her aside. He covered her head and back with his arms, while his tummy shielded hers, as they rolled down the street in the heavy rain. She hugged him tightly, forgetting about the anger she felt because of Didem just a few seconds ago. She noticed that Murat was not moving, he just kept holding her. She turned her gaze to see his face and found him too shocked to move. "Murat, we're fine. Canim, let's get up, we're fine." She shook him to break his silence and he helped her get up. He started to scan her through to see if there's any bruise but thankfully there was not. "What is wrong with you, Hayat? Why were you running like a mad woman? What if you got hurt?" Hayat felt guilty for being so vulnerable to Didem's ploy and broke down. She told everything that transpired between her and Didem to him with sobs. She could tell by the look that he was mad at Didem but more than that, his trust was wounded. Before he could ask anything, she kissed him gently, near the lips. "I did, I did get mad. She said she knows you better. That you get bored of women. This was my husband she was talking about. She is lucky I didn't break her mouth, I–" She stopped when she looked at Murat's amused face with his deadly side smirk. You're smiling? What can be the reason, may I ask? "You! You're the reason." Before she could taunt him further, he pulled her in his arms and kissed her. The kiss was a blend of passion, love, and pain that he felt in that moment and she reverted with the same zeal. If someone had seen them, they would've thought it's a scene from a movie where the lovers celebrate their union by kissing under a heavy rain. He was hurt but all he knew was that he was madly in love with her. They were so lost in the moment that they almost forgot that it's raining. It took them a lot to gain control over their emotions, "Hayat, you will get cold. Let's see if we can get a cab. I'll go look for it." He took her to the side and asked her to wait. "Yaa!! Murat, you know I'm astraphobic." And a thunderbolt was heard as if the heavens were waiting for her to say that. She hugged him with her eyes tightly closed. "I am coming with you, don't leave me here." Someone offered them a lift.
