Pronouns: non specific Plot: Ekko comes back from a mission all stressed out, and reader decides to play the piano for him. Warnings: Fluff, cursing A/n: Hello!!! Y/n's POV:
Today wasn't normal. Why? I had no idea. Ekko got up this morning in a bad mood. The bad mood that would make you want to scream. We didn't fight or anything. Ekko and me never really fought. It was just him and his bad attitude. Ignoring me when I asked to many questions.
I was out playing with the kids in our big open area of a hideout. I'm surprised not many people have found were we live. VI and Caitlyn were really the only ones who knew. Speaking of them, I heard they started dating not to long ago. I knew they would, the way they looked at each other could tell you everything.
Caitlyn and me were good friends. We went to the academy together in Piltover. I was born in Piltover, but later moved to the Undercity after the Councils outburst about the Undercity.
I didn't like the Council. It wasn't the people there, it was there decisions and opinions.
Caitlyn came down today to watch the kids with me. She said she loved them and wouldn't mind helping me out. All the boys were out with Ekko, and the women sure did need a break from there kids to take the day off.
I never minded kids. They always held a special place in my heart. I didn't know why, I just did.
Me and Ekko have never really talked about having kids. But in the future when we were old enough I would like too. If he was up for it. Consent is mandatory. I would never do something Ekko didn't want. Unless it was for our Undercity people.
At the moment me and Caitlyn were sitting in a circle with the kids playing duck duck goose. I told them if they won against me and Caitlyn I would play a song for them on our piano for nap time.
Of course me and Caitlyn let them win, they giggled and ran around the circle as we chased them. It was fun, I loved to see them giggle.
Once the game was over, me and Caitlyn brought them into the nap time room. If was filled with little bed and stuffed animals. Fairy lights hung from the ceiling. Lights in every corner so it wasn't dark. Extra blanket and a bathroom for them.
They watched me sit down in my chair that sat in front of the piano. I started to play. The melody the piano made as my fingers placed against them. Every kids snuggled into there beds falling asleep to the soft lullaby. I smiled at them finishing the melody and stood up. I walked out of the room cracking it just incase someone needs to get in or out.
I said my goodbyes to Caitlyn making my way up the stairs to me and Ekko's shared room. It had a soft light reflected against the walls. The window open, flowing clean air made its way into the room. Vines and fairy lights hung from the ceiling.
I laid down on the bed, grabbing my book to do a bit of light reading.
The door was pulled open and a exhausted Ekko walked in. Dropping his watch on the table. As well his coat and other attachments.
He slid off his shoes and made his way to me. Collapsing on top of me, snuggling into my chest. I blushed slightly at him, but soon calmed down to run my fingers through his hair. I loved playing with his locs. ( A/n: if you are a POC person if I said anything offensive in that at all please correct me! I want to be as respectful as possible! :) ) He sighed, relaxing into me. I knew he was exhausted, but had a hard time falling asleep. I smirked to myself getting up making him groan. I made my way to the little piano that sat in the corner.
I sat down, lifting the case that held the keys in. He looked at me from his side. He rested his head on the pillow, squeezing it slightly. The blanket pulled over his waist.
I started to play, feeling the keys pressed against my finger pads. I played until I saw his eyelids close. I was called the "Sleepy Musician". Everyone called me that because I could put anyone even the toughest people to put to sleep with my music. Even Ekko, the most stubborn person ever.
I stopped playing Ekko asleep peacefully, I walked over to him kissing him ever so lightly.
"I love you my warrior"
I turned off the lights, getting into bed with him snuggling into his chest.
"I love you too my love song"
