it was a warm, summer day. nora was feeling like shit, as usual. she wanted to go talk a walk outside and leave her family, maybe cool off some steam or something. it was 2:30 a.m, perfect. they stepped outside of the house and headed down the street. a car would pass by every once in a while and roll their window down asking if nora needed a ride, but she didn't.
she sat down on the curb right across from a thrift store, and sighed. suddenly, they felt a cold hand placed on their shoulder and she jumped. nora turned around, afraid, only to see Death.
nora remembered Death, the two had been friends for a while now, actually, ever since she was born. Death was always there for nora, even in the darkest of times. they thought of coming to Death many, many times, but never did.
Death sat down next to her, they're long black hair flowing every so gracefully in the wind.
"hey Death."nora said quietly. Death turned to her and gave her a small wave.
the two sat there for 10 minutes in an awkward silence, that is, until nora stood up.
"goodbye Death."she said, then walked away over to the train tracks. Death waved goodbye and continued to sit on the curb.
as nora headed to the train tracks, she wanted one thing and one thing only; to be dead. she stood in the middle of the train tracks, waiting for a train to hopefully appear and, well, you know the rest. suddenly, a horn went off in the distance. Death heard it to, and saw the figure of nora standing on the train tracks.
Death's heart began to race, and they jumped up and ran towards nora. the train was getting closer, but so was Death, running faster than before.
"NORA!!!"Death screamed, but when nora turned around to look, it was too late. the train hit her.
