Powder dropped off the edge. She only fell for a split second before she reached for the rope wrapped around her arm, throwing the hooked end towards the nearest building. The hook successfully snagged onto a shoddy roof tile, Causing her to stop mid plummet and swing past the building wall, just barely missing it. She was flung upwards and above the building, quickly coming to a stop and falling back down. She landed harshly but the pads on her gloves and boots topped her from sliding down the roof. Twisting one end of the rope around her hand, she carefully walked to unhook the other side, letting it swing down and meet her where she'd landed. She rolled it back up and started off again.
Powder knew the underground like the back of her hand. She knew all the shortcuts, hiding spots, places no sane person should ever go near, all the specs.
From one roof, shoddy pipe, random rafter to another, she climbed, jumped, roped anything she could to get to Piltover. This needed to be a fast mission if she wanted to be back before anyone noticed she was gone.
After several minutes of non-stop travel she'd finally clawed her way to the top, finally seeing the light of piltover.
Despite this, she still needed to keep going, she needed high ground. So up up up onto the colorful roofs of the city she climbed. Not needing to dodge as many loosely hanging metal rods or crumbling buildings, she was able to be much more efficient.
No one on the roads or walkways had any reason to look up, everyone was busy and preoccupied with their fancy scheduled lives. So she didn't need to be as hidden, the only people she needed to look out for were enforcers and airships.
She'd reached a fairly tall building, tall enough to give her the sight of the city she needed. Quickly, She'd tied her rope to a chimney sticking up from one end, then slid down the roof, holding onto the other side to keep her steady, she pulled out her small telescope and scanned the beautiful city.
She looked into the windows and glass doors of the well known houses of piltover. There were dozens of popular inventors looking to be under the spotlight and impress the city once more. Unfortunately for them, they were under a spotlight they weren't quite expecting this time.
Just as everything seemed peaceful and quiet, the roof under her shook violently and a deafening blast roared from the other side of the building.
It greatly startled her and she accidentally let go of the rope keeping her stable. She slammed her hands down onto the roof before she could stumble forward, the sticky pads on her gloves keeping her in place fairly well.
The rumbling and shaking stopped, but soon after, the city alarms rang through the city.
She needed to get back to the undercity, she couldn't be here of all places while the Enforcers were being called out. Regardless of the fact she didn't do anything, her being on a roof with roped and spying equipment wasn't a very good look for her.
She slowly made her way to the edge of the roof and looked over. Seeing nearly a dozen enforcers underneath, she quickly ducked back to the safety of the part of the roof where no one could see her.
She decided to see if the other side was safer. So she climbed up and looked over the top of the roof. A look of terror and suprise sprung onto her face. The rest of the roof was completely gone. The explosion was just a few feet away from her.She slid further down once again and sighed heavily to stop herself from panicking.
"What have I gotten myself into..." she thought to herself. She was trapped on this roof for who knows how long, soon the building was going to be entirely surrounded by enforcers and the building would be searched. The only way she's getting out of this without cuffs on her wrists that she could think of would be to wait...
But she needed this to be a fast mission, or everyone back home would notice she's gone and that's the last thing she wanted right now.
She stood up and took a breath. Slowly approaching the edges of the roof, she peeked over, cautious to not be seen by anyone. She looked for any opening to drop down and run or at least blend in with a crowd nearby.
Any opportunity she saw was immediately overtaken by enforcers, all equipped with guns and fire equipment.
