Dipper was checking his e-mail when he noticed the time. "Gaaa! I'm gonna be late!" he squealed. Seeing that Cassie usually wears a tee-shirt with shorts, he just put on a clip-on bowtie. "She told me to meet her downstairs in the kitchen...Hope she's not mad I'm late!" he said to no one in particular. He ran down the stairs. Cassie was waiting for him in a mint green dress, with her hair in pony-tails. SHe was blushing. "Ga....H-hey Cassie..." Dipper said, struggling to find his voice. Cassie mumbled, "You're sister got after me. She has a hard tackle!" They both laughed a little at that. "S-so, should we get going?" Dipper muttered. Cassie nodded and they walked out the back door. As they started walking into town, Dipper started fiddling with his bow-tie. To fill the awkward silence, Cassie asked him, "So...What's your favorite band?" Dipper thought about that. The only band he knew of was the band his older sister, Paige, always played at home. "Uhhh...the All American Rejects." he answered. "Really?! What's your favorite song by them?" Cassie beamed. "That would have to be.....'Swing Swing'. I mean how can you not like it?!" DIpper squealed, going into what his sisters call his 'fan-girl mode'. "Exactly!" Cassie replied. "My mom gives me a problem about it all the time because she thinks their too 'depressing' for the Morgan home." Dipper laughed. "That sounds so much like my mom that it's scary." he said. They stopped by a park bench and sat down. Dipper looked around and pulled a flower that looked like a giant pink ball, and gave it to Cassie. "H-here..." he said, blushing. Cassie took the flower and started drawing circles around it with her fingre. They sat in awkward silence for about ten minutes. "Hey, Cassie, I wanna know, how old are you?" Dipper asked. Cassie looked at him and smiled. "I'm twelve. But I'm turning thirteen in August." she replied. "So, how long are you and your sister staying in Gravity Falls?" she questioned. Dipper shrugged. "I don't know. Probably until August. We're only here for the summer." Cassie looked a little sad, but then she perked up. "Hey," she said. "Do ya wanna see something?" Dipper looked a little nervous. It was getting late. "Okay...but we'll have to go home soon." he said. Cassie rolled her eyes. "I know mother." she said sarcastiaclly. SHe pulled him up and away from the bench and up to a hill over by the Diner. Cassie elbowed Dipper. "Look up!" she said. DIpper looked up and saw a bunch of stars. No clouds. No smoke. Nothing but the sky, stars, moon, ground, and them. "Wow." Dipper breathed. "I know right? I come here all the time. This might seem a little dorky...but I like to make pictures in the stars. Like flowers and animals and things like that. " Cassie explaned. Dipper looked at her. She was staring at the stars, making shapes with her fingre. All of a sudden, clouds started rolling in. Cassie stood up. "We'd better be getting home soon....ya know....before the storm hits." she said. Dipper got up and started to follow her. By the time they had gotton back to Cassie's house, it had started raining. Cassie said to DIpper, "I had a really great time tonight, even though it wasn't much of a date." Dipper blushed and said the cheesiest line he'd ever heard: "I know how to make it better." Cassie looked at him and he kissed her.
