Mia and Damon Salvatore have spent their entire summer searching for their brother. Dead end to dead end. Empty blood bags to empty leads. Trails leading to absolutely nothing. It was exhausting for both of them.

Mia pushes the heavy door open to the gym and her eyes lock onto Klaus standing beside Elena. Her heart sinks down and she rolls her eyes with annoyance.

"Okay, so I'm assuming that you sent that text and it was leading this to trap," Mia sighs out with defeat.

Dana and Chad are tucked into the corner of the gym, shaking with fear.

"Smarter than you look," Klaus smirks wryly and Mia shoots him a sharp glare.

"Aw, what the hell?" Mia scoffs out and Elena snaps her head towards her. Her brown eyes are filled with worry and fear.

"I like her, Nik. can we keep her?" Rebekah chimes out, a playful grin spreading across her face.

"I'm not a pet, sweetheart. If you want one, might I suggest looking to your brother. He is part dog after all," Mia suggests, shrugging her shoulders.

Mia's eyes turn towards the hybrid who looks like he's in complete shock. Shocked that Mia had the nerve to call him what he exactly was.

"Mind your tongue or I will rip it out from your mouth," Klaus advises, his voice deadly low and deep.

"I was simply stating a fact," Mia shoots him a tiny smirk.

"I'd like you all to meet my sister, Rebekah," Klaus quickly changes the subject and Mia crosses her arms over her chest.

"Oh, so that's who the blonde twat is," Mia retorts harshly and Rebekah's nostrils flare with anger.

"I'd choose your next words wisely," Rebekah warns her and Mia's eyes fix onto Tyler's body on the ground. Her heart skips a beat and she gulps.

"What did you do to Tyler?" Mia asks, kneeling beside him and pressing her fingers to his throat.

Mia breath hitches as she doesn't feel a pulse beating against her fingers.
