I opened my eyes to see someone carrying me outside. I had no clue what was going on but the pain was horrible. It felt like my skin was melting off, my legs were on fire. "What's going on?" I asked as I covered my mouth coughing. I noticed the black ash all over my hands. "Tara where's Tara?" I screamed. I was set down in the back of an ambulance. "Where is Tara?" I asked her. The paramedic smiled and took my hand. "You're going to be just fine, Tara is getting checked out right over there." She pointed to another ambulance, I smiled and blacked out.

I set up quickly screaming. I opened my eyes to see Steve jumping out of his seat and over to me. "Where am I?" I screamed. He placed his hand on mine. They were so cold, it felt like it was burning my skin. I winced in pain and pulled back. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you." He said showing me a friendly smile. "Steve where am I, where's Tara?" "She's fine she's getting coffee you were the only one home when the fire started." I looked at him and shook my head. "Fire? What fire?" He pulled his chair up next to me. "There was a fire, one of your outlets sparked and caught the curtains and shit on fire your apartment is completely ruined."
I looked at him and laughed. "You're joking, this is a joke right? Steve where's Tara I WANT TARA!" I screamed. I pulled the wires off my body and the Iv out of my arm. "I need to get out of here." I said to him pulling the blanket off my legs. I got out of the bed and walked right over to the door pushing Steve away from me. "Come on get back in bed Eve." He pleaded. "Get off me." I said opening the door. He grabbed my hand trying to get my attention.
"I SAID GET OFF ME!" I screamed I hobbled out of the room and started screaming for Tara. "TARA!" She came around the corner and hugged me. "Tara where were you?" She smiled and helped me back into the bed. The doctor and nurse came in to fill me in on everything. "You have some burns on your legs, and your hands which will take a little to heal but aren't to much to worry about just make sure you clean them once in awhile. Now this burn here on your left thigh is a little more to worry about so take care of it and if anything feels wrong come in right away we will help you help." I smiled and shook my head. I smiled as soon as I saw James walk in.
We were still getting to know each other but we were getting very close. He sat down beside me and smiled. "You okay?" I smiled and shook my head. "You worried?" I asked him. He chuckled. "I'll be just fine all I gotta do is worry about where I'm going to live." "You can stay at the compound." I looked up and smiled. "Tony." He smiled and nodded. "Are you sure?" He smiled and shook his head. "Yeah just like old times." I rolled my eyes and smirked. "Like old times."
I laid my head back down on the pillows and closed my eyes for just a moment. I opened my eyes and everyone was gone except for Bucky who was sleeping in the chair next to me. I smiled and sat up. He opened his eyes and smiled. "Hey you alright?" I looked over at him and smiled. "Yeah I need to pee." He shook his head and helped me off the bed. "You want help?" I looked at him. "You trying to get in my pants already?" He rolled his eyes and laughed. "I would never." I laughed and walked into the bathroom. I sat down on the toilet and threw my head into my hands.
I climbed back into the bed and winced in pain. I kept moving around trying to get comfortable. He walked over to me and sat down beside me. "Come here." I smiled. I placed my head into his chest and smiled. "Buck?" "Yeah doll?" "Buck I need to tell you something." He looked at me with this worried look. "Whats wrong?" I took a minute to think about what I was gonna say playing different scenarios in my head them all ending in him not sharing the same interests as me. "Uh never mind." "Are you sure Doll?" I shook my head and smiled. "Yeah Buck I'm sure." He kissed my head and rubbed my back.
