~Grays pov~
It has been 3 weeks since me and (Y/N) started dating and everyone has calmed down about it, even Juvia.
"Hey babe, want to go on a mission?" I ask sitting next to her.
"Sure! You pick it" she says smiling up to me. I nod and walk over to the request board. I've never actually seen (Y/N) fight or even use her magic. Ever. I know it sounds mean but I want to see how much ass she can kick so I'm going to pick a reasonably hard one.
"Got one" I say and walk over to mira.
"Going on a mission gray?" She asks. "Yep. Want to see what (Y/N)'s got" I say smirking.
"I wouldn't underestimate her gray. She's quiet a skilled wizard" She says. I nod and walk over to her.
"You ready?" I ask her and she stands up. "Yep! Where are we going?" She asks. "Dark Forest" I simply reply.
"Ooooh scary" she says laughing.
"We have to beat 150 beasts" I say smirking.
"Is that all?" She says back.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IS THAT ALL?! That's more than Erza could beat!" I yell back.
She just laughs and continues walking.
~At the forest~
The first step into the forest and already I can see tonnes of beasts and monsters I've never even heard about.
"How much are we getting paid for this?" She asks walking through the trees like it's normal. "1 million jewel" I say. "The monsters are pretty tough I guess" she says not caring.
'Just how tough is she?' I think to myself.
"I'm not that good" she says.
Damn I said it out loud!! Really need to stop doing that.
Before I can say anything a giant forest volcan appears.
"Look out!" I call but it's too late. I hear a loud thump and turn to see how bad (Y/N) was injured but.. It wasn't (Y/N) who got hurt. (Y/N) just knocked the thing out in a single kick!!
"Holy shit" I say, she just laughs.
"You can never be too carful" she says and keeps walking. 'am I dating an ninja assassin?' I think to myself. Soon we get to the middle of the forest where the main monsters are.
"What do we need?"(Y/N) asks looking around.
"25 cyclops eyes" I say.
"I'll do these ones okay?" She says.
"Fine by me." I say laughing.
"Okay!" She yells and I step back. She runs at the beasts, jumps on them, uses her wind magic to get her into the sky then starts hitting there eyes with bursts of wind or water. She jumps back down and trips them with vines and ties them up. "Can you get all their eyes?" she asks as she runs over to the next group of cyclops's. In under five minutes she has taken down the full twenty five beasts and had there eyes removed.
"What now!" She yells as she fights off a giant tree monster.
"10 snake teeth" I call back and dodge the swooping birds. Again in under 3 minutes all the teeth are collected.
"You know what, just tell me what to get, I'll do it" she says and jumps into a tree. I push a huge rat off of my face and call out "15 giants toes"
"Eww giants have disgusting feet" she complains and dodges a tree heading straight towards her. I put all the eyes and teeth into a magic bag and hide behind a tree. "Holy crap she's amaxing" I say to myself.
One by one she throws the toes to me.
"Only one hundred items left!" I call out
"What are they?" She yells back and swings into a tree.
"20 lizard scales." I yell.
A large lizard like thing slithered over to (Y/N). I run up and stab it in the head with my ice sword. "ill get these, you get the 9 needles." I say.
"Nine needles of what!!" She yells and rolls along the ground avoiding whatever is flying at her.
Damn she's good at this!!
"I'd say those things!!" I yell, pointing to a large porcupine like thing. I pull out the 20 scales and place them in the bag then run over and get the needles of her.
"21 left! So we need 20 black feathers." I say back. I look over to the nest of crows and she looks past me.
"Got it!" She says and runs up the back of a monster, jumping off its head and landing in the trees. One by one the feathers drop and soon she jumps down, rolls then stands up next to me.
"Not to shabby" I say and quickly peck her lips. God I love the feeling of her soft, warm lips. I can do it whenever I want to. I love life right now! She pulls back and we look around the forest.
"You took everything down. There's nothing left" I say laughing. "I gotta say, I underestimated you." I say.
"Jee thanks" she says laughing and hugs me.
"We need something else though. There was 1 last item." She says.
"Last thing...." I say confused and look at the list.
"we need 1 head..." I say back I slightly confused.
"Off what?" She asks. Suddenly there is a deep growl and the ground starts to shake.
"I think we're about to find out" I say. suddenly (Y/N) starts to take deep breaths.
"you okay?" I ask her and I hold her hand. "Yeah, a little puffed but I'm good" she says
"trying to catch my breath before this thing shows up" She says.
"You want help on this one?" I ask as the footsteps get closer.
"I think so." She says and steps closer to me. I kiss her on the forehead then we both step apart from each other. The trees start to get snapped and a giant foot comes smashing to the ground. We both look up at the same time and gasp. "A three headed dog?" We both say simultaneously. We look at each other then nod. I see (Y/N) run at it and I follow close behind her. "You mess with its balance and I'll get to its head!" She shouts and starts to run to a massive tree.
"Ice make: floor!" I shout, the dog slips and falls and I instantly look at (Y/N). I see her run to a tree, shoot out a vine and pulls herself up, swinging onto the dog. "Ice sword!" She yells and a sword appears. I watch her every move, I could of sworn I saw her mouth "I'm sorry" as she hit the dogs head. An almighty howl and a whimper echoes through the trees. Everything goes quiet.
"She did it" I say to myself. I out the bag onto of the head and it evaporates into the bag.
"We did." She says and hugs me, I hug her back.
I feel a wet feeling start to cover my hand. "W-what?" I say and look at it.
"(Y/N) your bleeding." I say and look at her back. She has a deep cut right down her side. "(Y/N)! Youre hurt!" I say and hug her again. Damn I didn't bring any bandages. "I'm okay"she says softly.
"I can hardly feel it Gray I'm alright" she says and kisses me softly. "Let's get our money and go" She says and walks of smiling.
~(Y/N) pov~
"(Y/N) your hurt!" Gray says. 'Nah shit, I kinda freaking realised!' I mentally scream. i just smile and pretend it doesn't hurt. "I'm okay" I say softly. "I can hardly feel it Gray, I'm alright" I say and kiss him gently. "Let's get our money and go" i say smiling then walk off. My back is burning and it hurts to move. One of those monsters sure did a number on me. I was picked up then smashed into a tree, then the jerk stood on me! Talk about pain... I can't let gray know I hurt though, he'll probably over react and think I need the hospital. He's always been like that the little angel. 'Just walk like you can't feel it' I think to myself. "So. Do we have everything?" I ask as we walk. "Yep, all 1 million jewel worth." He says and smiles.
Once we got to the house I walk over to a shady tree and drop down instantly. "I'll be out here" I say smiling up to Gray. "Okay" he says and walks inside. A few minutes later he walks out with two bags of money. "Her you go!" He says and chucks my the bag. I catch it and out it in my pocket. "Thank you!" I say happily and try to stand up. A shot of pain shoots up my spine and I gasp, hunching over.
"(Y/N), are you okay?" Gray asks and runs over to me. "Yeah I'm fine, just stood up wrong" I say and go to stand up again. Gray bends down and lifts my up bridal style, careful not to touch my wound. "Let me help you" he says and starts to walk. "thank you" I reply and snuggle into his strong chest. The last thing I remember was the steady beat of his heart then I fall asleep.
