(Y/N)'s pov
"(Y/N)!!" I hear someone's voice shout out from behind me.
Turning on my heel in confusion to try and find the source of my name calling I spot all of my best friends walking up to me, bright smiles on their faces.
Fairy tail.
That's right, I'm a member of fairy tail! You jelly? You should be ;)
"Hey guys!!" I wave back to them all, an equally gleeful smile plastered on my face.
Immediately I notice Natsu is once again arguing with Lucy about something pointless while happy is talking to Carla and Wendy, Erza is looking off into the distence, probably still half asleep or dreaming about cake, and then I see him. Gray Fullbuster standing there in all of his 5'11, shirtless glory. He is lazily waving at me, ever so slightly smiling his perfect smile as the corner of his lip is pulled upward.
The closer he gets the faster my heart pounds in my chest, the anticipation killing me. As he comes up to me, that same welcoming smile on his face I zone out everything else going on around me subconsciously. My eyes zeroing in on his arms, specifically the one that was upright waving at me earlier but was now slightly extended welcoming me into an embrace. Like a scene from a movie Gray gently wraps his arm around my shoulder pulling me into a headlock like hug, earning a light giggle from me.
Every time he gives me a hug I fall deeper and deeper in love with him, I swear it's like heaven. He just smells so gooooooooood! I can't begin to describe it, I just adore the scent of his cologne. Plus he's so warm!! Contradicting his magical capabilities as an ice wizard he has the warmest heart, never once failing to make me feel welcomed and wanted, not to mention he how damn is he fine!
"I like your hair today Lucy, you're trying a different style?" I asked the blonde as she pulled me into her arms as well.
"You noticed! Thank you! Cancer thought this would look good so I trusted his better judgement" she beamed, thankful to have relieved a compliment so early in the morning.
"It looks really good!" I smiled back.
"Thanks y/n" Lucy replied.
"It looks the same..." Natsu tilted his head confused, once again sparking up another bickering argument between the two which I just stepped away from pretending I hadn't heard a thing, instead heading over to Erza's side.
I look up at the red headed mage and see her still zoned out, her brown eyes glued to the footpath.
'I wonder what she's so focused on?' I thought to myself, trying to think of something that could brighten her day.
"Hey Erza, we can go get you some cake soon if you want?" I said quietly. Her face instantly lights up, her eyes snapping back to me immediately.
'I'll take that as a yes.' I giggled to myself.
She suddenly turns to me and hugs m-, no SUFFOCATES me, into a bone crushing hug, smashing my face into the hard chest plate covering her upper body with a loud clank.
"You know me too well (y/n), I would love to" She says smiling. I smile up to her, glad to see she had zoned back in and continued walking, a dull ache thumping in my head
Before you ask 'am I friends with Juvia' let me tell you this. She is one of the kindest people I have met in a long, long time and she is one of my best friends! We train together a fair bit and go on jobs together when I'm not on a mission with Cana or Lucy. Me and Cana have been friends for forever and me and Lucy have gotten extremely close recently too! Of course she is a part of team Natsu but when she isn't doing jobs with them she's doing them with me individually.
Nobody else in the entire guild knows I have a giant crush on Gray thank god, if Laxus found out he would tease me for the rest of my life!! We are like siblings Laxus and I, we tell each other everything. Well... everything except how I like Gray.
It didn't take us long to arrive at the guild hall, all of us talking amongst one another as we usually did.
Natsu, like usual, kicks down the door and walks over to Mira without hesitation leaving Lucy and I to sigh heavily at his overly energetic actions.
"He's so active in the mornings." Lucy says with a small smile.
"I don't know how he does it...." I shrug, looking around the busy room.
"Hey I have an idea, (Y/N) go pick a job, just for us two girls okay?" She asks with a happy expression on her face.
"Mm okay!" I say happily and run off to the board, noticing Nab standing in front of it as per usual.
'I can't remember the last time I went on a quest with just Lucy, it's been way too long.' I thought to myself
"Hey Nab!" I call out to the giant, black haired man blocking half the request board.
"Oh morning y/n, how are you doing?" He asked back, looking down at me with a smile.
"I'm good thank you, yourself?" I asked , turning my attention back to the job listings.
"Good thanks, find anything interesting?" I questioned, seeing him look back at the board as well from my peripheral vision.
"Not yet" he sighed.
"You going on a job with the team?" He asked, making conversation.
"Just Lucy this time" I smiled back at him.
"Oh yeah? That will be fun" he nodded.
"I think this one looks good!" I said reaching up to take off the flyer.
"Stay safe" he commented.
"We will, you too! Good luck finding a job!" I said as I walked back to the table where Lucy was waiting.
