"Have you both thought about that?" Nam-ra suddenly asked the both leaning outside teenagers. Yu-jin raised an eyebrow at Nam-ra whilst su-hyeok still kept leaning outside the window frame.
"About what?"
"What if everyone turned and we're only humans left?" She asked as all three looked outside as she sighed.
"No way." Su-Hyeok declined looking at sky before taking glance at yu-jin, who looked unsure. "Come on." He shook his head.
"That means we're the minority." Yu-jin said after a while of silence. "Minority always go extinct." Su-Hyeok leaned back looking at yu-jin while Nam-ra nodded. "I'm sure we are not." He assured.
"What if We are." Nam-ra commented looking at side profile of yu-jin. "I don't know." Su-Hyeok glanced at her before looking back at yu-jin. "But , i don't want to become a zombie. They don't recognise anyone." Yu-jin looked at sky again in hopes of getting out already.
"Then... I won't even recognise you. B-both i mean." Su-Hyeok said looking at yu-jin but tried to cough to hide the overising blush. Yu-jin glanced at su-hyeok who seemed to be in strange haze. Nam-ra looked down sadly. It wasn't for her, thats she is sure about.
Yu-jin patted su-hyeok's back with weak smile which lightened the whole inside of him. He smiled back. "I have favor if i do get bitten." Yu-jin sighed looking at su-hyeok. "No." He held her face in his palms hesitatingly. "Don't get bitten."
"If by any chance---"
"no." Su-Hyeok cut her off calmly where as his insides told anything else. "Don't get bitten, you can't. Don't even think about it." Yu-jin kept silent scanning Su-Hyeok's face , as his eyes twinkled with heart and worry. Maybe yu-jin can see a deep sea in his eyes, they were extremely intense. Just like that yu-jin's heart string tugged and she felt a puking feeling. But if she knew ,it wasn't puking feeling but the flutterings. She gazed deeply in his eyes same goes to him.
Su-hyeok never get to this close with yu-jin , never before. It was like his dream come true. He really wished this to happen, but not in apocalypse. His stomach twistings increase as well as his heart thumped against his rib cage. He couldn't control now, now or never.
"You will never be bitten yu-jin." Nam-ra spoke behind from them with cough as su-hyeok pulled away with red ears. Yu-jin was still frozen, she was truly cursed by su-hyeok. Such a wizard , doing magic on her. Oh if she knew, it isn't curse but love.
Surely love is so magical, no one can see it but can feel it, it touches your soul.
"Shit!" Taehyung cursed as phone's torch light shown on the note of the steel trapdoor. He suddenly felt so hopeless. Suddenly his life's beautiful moment started flashing like a movie.
"This is yu-jin! Please don't annoy her! Her mother would not be happy if someone bullied her." The kindergarten teacher announced now quite down children while taehyung looked at the new Student intensely.
"Taehyung, i know it's lot but please eat healthy and don't skip your meal. I know you very well! We might be not there with you but son take care!" Taehyung's mother hugged her son last time as his father took the chance. "Call us when you get time!"
"I'm Cheong San and this is gyeong-su!" The boy standing infront of taehyung introduced. "And you and i will be seatmates as per ms.Park told." Gyeong-su Snickered beside Cheong san while taehyung nodded not noticing pile of girls swooning over him.
"The names Lee su-hyeok, i will not bully you but you can join me with my friends!" Su-hyeok held his hand for shake. "No! Don't join with him." Taehyung's one of classmate named as wu-jin dramatically commanded.
"You punks! Shut up and sit quietly! Let's welcome our new student! Introduce yourself." Taehyung looked at the student shocked , there she was his childhood best friend, lim yu-jin.
"She is pretty!" Wu-jin nudge his seatmate as taehyung clenched his teeth. "Omg she is so beautiful isn't she!" Gyeong-su held his chest. "I know right! She might be rich by the looks of her shoes and bag." Dae-su commented.
"Yujin!" Taehyung yelled running behind the brunette, yu-jin turned around facing taehyung with confused face. Silly girl. "Yes?" Taehyung smiled widely. "Do you remember me!?" Yu-jin shook her head. "Umm, taehyung. Kim taehyung? Friends best friends? Daegu kindergarten?" It took her good 10 minutes to remember, when she jumped and laughed. "Oh my! Taehyung-ah!!" Taehyung hugged her catching her off gaurd.
Taehyung smiled in pain, he just hoped su-hyeok is taking care of yu-jin.
Joon-Yeong stick a baby pink stick-note on the drone, boldly written 'Help, we are in broadcasting room in hyosan high school.' yu-jin carefully watched him with jia sitting beside her, he placed it on table and tried to attach the wires finally turning it on. It released a funny tune with blue light.
"Does it work?" Dae-su asked looking at him lazily still laying his head on his arms. "Is it working?" Su-hyeok leaned, hovering on Joon-Yeong with Cheongsan and wu-jin. "I think it will."
Yu-jin helped Joon-Yeong with VR headset , which was little messy but it would work. Drones whirring echoed in room as Dae-su abruptly sat straight, now standing looking at drone amazed.
Everyone stand from their seat looking at drone with hope. It whirred with screaches as it fly above their heads now aiming at Dae-su with fast pace. "Holy crap!" But Joon-Yeong moved it aside. "That thing is crazy fast." Wu-jin commented still amazed.
"I'll take it outside, after i find taehyung. If i find rescuers out there, then I'll land infront of them." Joon-Yeong informed as everyone looked at each other.
"Wait a second." Nam-ra interrupted as on-jo and ji-min looked at her annoyed. "They say, when people know their situation is hopeless, that's when they despair." She looked straight at yu-jin. Yu-jin tried to understand what she meant as jia looked at her confused.
"Sweet saying." Dae-su complimented as Nam-ra looked at him. "But what does that mean?" Everyone looked at Nam-ra as she sighed. "Even if everyone in the world but us turned into zombies, we can't fall in despair." Yu-jin said blankly while everyone eyed her seriously.
"Nam-ra, yu-jin. It's best to make plan and try to stick to it." On-jo nodded at yu-jin who sighed heavily looking outside. "We're not all top students, and we can't be as smart as you and yu-jin. being logical isn't part of human nature."
"In a crisis, it's better to be logical." Nam-ra argued back.
"We need hope more than logic. Don't you think that's best right now."
Hope isn’t something that allows you to feel a certain way about life all the time, but it’s a frame of mind that gives us reason to keep going despite all odds against us. Hope is the strongest emotion because it is something you can’t feel unless you have hope.
Yu-jin nodded, "We can try?"
"Hey, i think.... flying the drone is what we need right now." Dae-su said with scatch of his head.
