"We're leaving", Boruto's eyes widened and I realise how it sounds
"Just for a few days." I reassured him. He looks relieved, but I could see he had some questions
"Last night, after you left, my mother and I had a talk with the ancestors and they want us to go to the village hidden in the grass"
"why?" he asked, placing his head on my shoulder
"They believe there is an I/n staying there"
He hummed "When are you leaving?"
"This afternoon. My mother is talking to your father to get permission to leave the village"
"Can I go with you?"
I chuckled as I lift his head, kissing his cheek. "No"
His eyes widened "Why not?" he whined.
"Boruto"
"Y/n"
We stared at each other and I couldn't help but smile. I was going to say something but I heard my mother's voice
"We can go"
We both turn look at my mother enter. As soon as she closed the door her eyes went to Boruto "Hey Boruto"
"Hey miss I/n"
"No need to be so formal, call me m/n" she smiled as she turned to look at me "We'll be leaving here as soon as possible"
I nod and head upstairs, Boruto following. After I got everything, we went to the gate and got ready to leave
"Please be careful." Boruto hugged me tight "I won't be there to protect you"
I scoff "I would have had to protect you... and please don't cause trouble or do something you're not suppose to"
"I never do that "
We both said goodbye and my mother and I left heading toward the village hidden in the grass
"mom?"
She hummed. We were running for about 30 minutes and I wanted to ask something
"When 2 people get married the wife usually takes the husbands last name, so if the l/n is your clan why is my last name l/n?"
"Your father, when I met him was a L/n'' my mother looked at me "usually to keep the bloodline pure and make it stronger you had to marry another l/n."
"So I'm not fully a l/n?"
my mother nodded no
"So if we find any l/n would I have to marry one of them?"
"The ancestor would want the bloodline to continue and be stronger than ever, but it's your life, so you choose" my mother stopped "let's take a break" my mother tried to not sound out of breath
I was scared to hear my mothers answer but I felt relieved to hear her reply. After we took a small break we continued till night time, set up camp and continuing the next day arriving at the village
Two Shinobi were waiting for us at the gate and took us to their village leader
"Thank you for letting us come" my mother bowed her head
"Please, no need to thank" the village leader said "hope you find what your looking for"
We both thanked the village leader and went to an inn and booked a room
"We'll start searching at the middle of the village and then go from there" my mother said as she walked towards the middle
I looked down at my necklace, the one the old guy gave me that glows when I got close to l/n, and the necklace was already glowing.
"don't worry, we're goimg to split up. I can sense l/n when I get close enough"
I nodded and we split up deciding to meet here again in 15 minutes, and if there's no luck we're going into different directions again
After 15 minutes I went back and had no luck, my mother also didn't have any luck. We did it again 3 times but no luck and the decided to go get some lunch
"the people here are quiet strange" I whispered as we enter a restaurant "everytime I walk past them they look at me in really peculiar way"
"Really they didn't do that to me"
"Strange" I Sat down. I see 2 other people enter, one small child and one that looks around my age

They sat down and 2 older looking men enter heading towards them.
The guy put his hand on the one around my age
"Where's our money" He snarled as he placed his hand around her waist
I look at my mother and she was looking at the menu, shaking her head. She put down the menu and signaled towards them
"we gave you enough time"
I stood up and walked towards them my mother following
"do you want us to hurt you?"
She nodded no
"Then give us our money or we'll have our fun and after that we might take him" the one guy placed his hand on the small child
"excuse me" I interrupted them
"What!?" they turn to look at me with their eyes full of lust
"Well well who are you? You're not from around here are you? And if you were, someone like you won't know this little brat"
I point towards my headband "And I never said I knew her"
they stood up and my mother went to stand infront of me tossing them a pile of cash "enough?"
They look at the money "for now." They went to the door and looked at the girl before leaving
"Are you okay? "I asked but she was busy standing up getting ready to leave. I glance down at my necklace and see it glowing so I grab her wrist.
"wait?"
she turned around with fear in her eyes "We're thankful for what you did but we need to leave"
"Why? we're not going to hurt you" I look at her and the little boy
"you're not?"
I nod no and she looked at me and then the neklace "My mother told us that the necklace was used to track down our people, but the last time someone saw the necklace it fell into the wrong hands and that person used it to track us down and to kill us"
"We're using it to track down the l/n but not to kill you" I let go of her hand and step away from her the so that the necklace could stop glowing. I took a step towards my mother and the necklace glowed again
"We are l/n "
Her eyes widend and she look relieved "if you're l/n you can heal right? I wasn't taught how to heal, or how to use any l/n techniques so can you please help" She left the restaurant and we followed her. She took us to this burnt down house. As we enter I see someone on the floor covered with blankets.
"the reason I borrowed their money was to buy medicine. My mother is really sick, her blood doesn't want to heal her body and I don't know how to use it"
My mother bent down in front of the women and her eyes widend
