"What do you mean you saw Mani?" I asked, as Camila paced back and forth, I haven't seen my best friend since everything went down with me and her girlfriend, and God did I miss her.
"She was there with another girl, she looked so beautiful; I missed her so much" she stopped pacing the floor and burst into tears, I immediately caught her so she didn't fall. Lauren came in a minute later, grabbing a slice of pizza and asking, "What is she crying about now?"
"She saw Mani today at the mall." Lauren's face lit up, I forgot how close they were, "How is she? Did she ask about me?" Camila wiped her tears and shook her head.
"She wouldn't give me the chance to explain," Lauren chuckled and rose from the loveseat across from me. "I wouldn't give your trifling ass the time of day either." She spat. "How dare you two fuck each other behind her back? Camila, that girl was so in love with you that she would have moved to Cuba if you would've asked, and Dinah, you and her been friends since the sandbox, and you go and fuck her girlfirend? Y'all are pitiful." Lauren walked back up the stairs, bumping Ally in the process.
"You know she's not wrong-" Ally began, but I shook my head, my anger was boiling. I got up quickly and was on my way to Lauren's room when I was stopped by Camila. "She's right Dinah, we just have to live with the fact that we betrayed her trust." I nodded and walked back over to the couch, burying my face in my hands and letting the tears fall.

"All right, dancing shoes? check, clothing? check-" Justine rambled on as she walked from my closet back to my bed, preparing my dancing bag. I sat on my bed with a big bag of cheeto puffs, watching her every move and occasionally giggling. She claimed she didn't need my help because she didn't think I'd be helpful.
"Classes don't start until September; it's not even summer yet." She sighed and shook her head as I drew her away from the dance bag. "I know, but I want everything to be perfect." She buried her face in her hands, was she really worried about MY first day of class?
Can you please calm down? You're going to make me nervous, and I'm never nervous when I'm dancing." She chuckled and drew me into a hug. She's been a little touchy lately, which I don't mind; in fact, I enjoy it. Actually, it makes me feel loved, and God knows I need love right now. "I think we should go out to dinner tonight," Justine suggested.
"Like a date?" I questioned, looking up at her chocolate brown eyes that were already staring down at me, "Yes," I gave her a wide smile and a big hug, I haven't been out on a date in three years, Camila and I's first date was also our last, unbeknownst to me.
