Chapter 7: Who needs lights? |Part 1|

Jorden's P.O.V

Y/N pushed open the fire exit to level 6. I knew what was waiting for us. I didn't want to tell Y/N because the way she acted in the darker areas of the backrooms...But at the same time I wanted to...I don't know why...Maybe it was to feel her hand in mine once again? Either way we walked up the stares. "Y/N..." I said. "Oh...Yes Jorden?" She responded. "I wanted to worn you...This level...It's pitch black." I said. Y/N's face drained of color. 

"It's okay because I'll be with you!" I exclaimed. "Y-yeah...I guess your right..." Y/N replied with a shaky voice. We walked into level 6. "U-uhm J-Jorden?" Y/N stuttered. "Yeah?" I replied. "C-could you maybe t-turn your flashlight o-on?" Y/N asked me. I pulled my flashlight out of my pocket and flicked it on. The level remained dark. "It's not working!" I huffed under my breath as I continued to walk. I heard heavy breathing and gasps followed by shuffling feet.

"J-Jorden!...Where did you go!?" I heard Y/N yell out from the darkness. I turned around and shined my flashlight into the darkness. It was just bright enough to shine on Y/N. "Jorden!" She yelled. "Don't leave me behind in the dark like that!" She scolded then smacked the back of my head. I laughed then said "Sorry Y/N I thought you were still behind me!" I turned the flashlight off and I heard a gasp shortly after I felt a hand slip into mine witch made me jump. "Sorry Y/N you scared me" I said. "Uhm...Jorden...That's not my hand..." Y/N said. I scream erupted from me that sounded like a little girl in a super market. I yanked my hand away. "Haha! Sorry Jorden you left me behind and I had to get re~" Y/N spoke but I couldn't hear her because I was running. After a few minutes I stopped.

I could only her distant sobbing and Y/N screaming my name. Oh no! What ever grabbed me must have Y/N I have to go back! I thought out loud. I rad back and bumped into someone. "Ow" I heard a voice that sounded like Y/N say. "Y-Y/N!" I exclaimed. "Jorden why did you run into the darkness without me!" Y/N yelled. "I-....I'm sorry Y/N I should have known better and listened to what you were saying." I said and I placed my hand on Y/N's upper arm. I felt Y/N pull away. "Don't!....Touch me...." Y/N sounded stern when she started speaking but it faded to sadness. "Lets....Just keep going...I don't want to be here longer then I have to..." Y/N spoke softly.

Y/N's P.O.V

Jorden and I walked though the dark halls of level 6. I was upset. Not because he ran but because I scared him so badly. As we walked I began to wonder why Jorden ran back. It surly wasn't for me...he probably just dropped something important!" I thought. "Jorden...I'm sorry I scared you like that." I said quietly. I felt hot tears run down my eyes. "It's okay." He replied. "No it's not you don't do that to people you love-" I slapped my hands over my mouth. I bumped into Jorden. He must have stopped walking. "Y/N...What do you mean?" Jorden said sounding nervous. "I-" I tried to replied but I was afraid of what might happen if I said anything. 

For a few moments there was complete silence. Then I felt Jorden's hand slip in mine. "We should get moving! Your already said you didn't wanna be here to long!" Jorden said with a sweet voice. "Uh...Yeah!" I said my face feeling hot.
