Rosalie Barton never liked silence, there was something about it that scared her. When the anesthetic wore off, the only thing she could hear was the electric hum of the engines. When her eyes adjusted to the lighting, she noticed the cell around her, there was a warm-toned light in the shape of a circle behind her, the surface she was laying on was more cushiony than expected, you know since it was a cell.

Soon enough Alexei was up and moving, 'Natasha' following, "Alexei." his movements stopped, "What about you Rosalie? Are you up?"

"Uh-yeah," she said, "Natasha. I can't save us. I need you to know that I'm sorry. I pledged my life to a cause. You know, I thought I was being very brave. Possibly the bravest. But I wasn't being brave. I was coward." he dramatically slid down the glass, and Rosalie rolled her eyes.

"In Cuba, when they came and took you away from me...no cause is worth that. You should only sacrifice yourself...for something." the glass door slid open away from his face, he stood up confused, Rosalie and Melina had already stepped out of their cells.

"How did you do that?" Alexei's face showed clear confusion, "I designed these cells myself." Melina stated, but still had the mask on, so he thought it was Natasha. Melina pulled off the mask and wig, "What?"

Rosalie smiled, and Alexei repeated himself again, "What?" Melina was smiling slightly, "I bared my soul to you and it was just you the whole time." he spoke outdone, "Karma's a bitch." Rosalie shrugged.

"Yes, I'm afraid so. But wait, shh, I'm on comms with Yelena." Melina shushed him, "Yelena it's me, it's mama." she spoke in a soft voice, "You have a two-inch blade concealed in your belt line." she explained.

Rosalie heard Yelena's surprise, 'What?' and smiled, "Outside right hip." Melina added, judging the sound of complete chaos on the other side, Yelena was probably escaping. "You couldn't have told me sooner?" the blonde asked, "Don't throw a fit. There wasn't time."

"Okay, girls. I'm having trouble hearing you.." Alexei started but was quickly cut off by Melina, "You don't have earpiece." Melina stated, "What?"

"No, she can't hear you. You don't have earpiece!" Melina shrugged, "Why not?" he whined, "Because it wasn't part of the plan, Alexei." Rosalie smiled. "What exactly was the plan?" he looked between the two of them.

"Where did he take the vials?" Yelena asked, "Uh, probably down to cold storage. Dreykov still has the widows under his control so you have to expose them to the antidote." Melina stated, "Yeah. sure. Easy."

Rosalie paced around the small space. Her daughter was here.

---

"Is this your plan?" Dreykov asked Natasha, "My plan is to kill you." the redhead stated calmly, "I'm alive." Natasha found just his voice sickening, "So what do we do now?" Natasha nodded her head you couldn't even notice the small movement at first glance, "What was my mother's name?"

There was a bit of a long pause, as though Dreykov was contemplating how to answer the question, "Uh...where we buried her, there was a tree...um...Pink blossom. Beautiful." tears were building in Natasha's eyes, "And there was a tombstone with her name engraved on it. What was her name?" he looked around as if he was searching for the answer somewhere around the room, "Ah," he chuckled, "Un-Known."

Natasha shook her head, "You don't feel anything? You feel anything when I killed your daughter?" she asked, still standing perfectly still. "Is this your haunted past? Really?" he laughed, bending his head in laughter.

Natasha glanced to the floor, "Thank you, Natasha." her eyebrows pulled together in confusion, as the man stood up, walking over to the taskmaster. "You gave me my greatest weapon...say hello."

Natasha wasn't quite sure how to process all of this, it was Antonia. She was standing right there. "When your bomb exploded, in nearly killed my Antonia...I had to put a chip in the back of her neck." Natasha stared at her.

"Look at her. You find it difficult to look at her?... I do." he circled around the back of Natasha, "She...she watches everything. And she can do it. She's a perfect mimic."

Natasha could feel the man's breath on her ear, "And she fights like all of your friends." he took a step back, "Can she hear me?" he walked back up close to her, "What?...you want to make her feel better?" she flinched slightly at the raised tone of his voice. "You want to tell her your sorry?" she clenched her jaw, holding back the building tears, "Well maybe you should've thought of that before you blew her face off. But enough of this bullshit. Go to work." he waved off Antonia.

"I have rats in the basement go." the mask clicked back into place and Antonia left, as soon as the door clicked shut, Natasha, pulled her gun on him. "Well, that was a mistake." he looked down the barrel of her gun, "Was it?"

"You just sent away the only thing that would stop me from killing you." she shrugged, "Try then." he dared her, "Do it." she knew the pheromonal lock would block her from doing anything but this was exactly her plan. "Is the safety on?" he taunted.

Dreykov took the gun from her hand, "No?" he stuck the gun up and shot the ceiling. "Try your knife," he motioned to it, and she pulled it aggressively but froze before it could hit him, he wrapped his hand around her wrist, taking the knife right out of her hand.
"You're in trouble." he breathed right against her face, "And so is Rosalie...in fact, her what do you call it..ex-boyfriend, is on his way to her right now." Natasha's heart plummeted, before she was able to mask it the fear spread onto her features.

"How are you controlling me?" she panted, "I'm not controlling you, Natasha. Well not yet." Natasha's face was pained, as she rocked back and forth slightly, "But there is a pheromonal lock. Smelling my pheromones prevents you from committing violence against me." he explained before making a motion as if he were going to hit her, she flinched backward keeping her eyes on the floor. Dreykov turned away from her, "I am very upset with Melina. It's a shame I have to kill her."

---

"Go find her," Melina said noticing the unease on Rosalie's features, "She should be closer to the lower floors, near the medical section." Rosalie smiled slightly, "Thank you." she breathed, "Be careful, yes?"

"I'll be ok Melina." Rosalie stated, "Good because I don't want to have to explain to Natasha that I let the woman she loves  get killed." Melina said, and Rosalie's eyebrows pulled together slightly, "How did you-" she started, "Mothers always know."

"Now go," Melina nodded to the door, "Thank you."

Rosalie started walking down the hallways, but when she turned into one of the rooms she came face to face with the man she never thought she would see again.
