Guardians of The Wolves

Chapter 10

- Nova -

My Mom and Dad just walked out of the forest in wolf form. They are gorgeous, and that it is high praise coming from someone who usually acts depressed but just really needs the right person to talk to, aka Lex.

Archer and Jade are standing a little ways away, watching, having their own little conversation. Mom and Dad shift back and thanks to Archer and Jade there are cloths for them sitting on the ground, each pick up a set in their mouth and carry it behind a tree. When they come out, they are in human form again, wearing something close to my outfit, sweats and a t-shirt. Dad walks over to me while Mom walks back to the castle, with Jade walking with her. Dad tells me that mom had stuff to do but will be back later.

So first, Dad says that I need to focus on what I think I will look in wolf form. Then imagine my human body changing into that wolf. I imagine a wolf and for some reason the image that comes to me is a blazing red wolf with fire coming out of it's fur and black eyes that look like they could cut you with a look. At first it's just a small uncomfortable feeling in my lower back. then it spreads to the rest of my body, becoming more intense with every second. It feels like my body was engulfed in flames. After a few minutes, the burning sensation dissipates and I feel okay again. I look up to Lex and my Dad staring at me in awe. Lex, what wrong? Why are you two looking at me like that'Go look in that pond over there and find out'well that's a lot of information, thanks'Anytime'Jerk'annoying puppy.  I walk over to the pond, still feeling a bit weird on four legs, but I manage. I look into the pond and see the exact image that I was picturing. Lex'Yes Nova'Why do I look exactly like the image of a wolf that came into my head right before I shifted'Dunno, thats kinda weird, when I shifted, I imagined this light brown almost blonde small wolf, turns out my color is a very dark brown and I'm actually pretty big'thanks, that's really helpful...Alexander.' He growled out loud for my Dad to hear, he looked at Lex weirdly and then turned back to me. Oh that's right, we never told him about the telepathy thing. Lex'Yes'I think that know would be a good time to finally tell my father about our telepathy thing, because I din't think he knows, by the way he looked at you when you growled at me'Yeah probably a good idea.' "King Apollo," Lex says and Dad nods for him to continue, "Nova and I have something to tell you and we think that know would be a good time. So, you know about the powers that the two bonded get, well...Nova and I kinda....wer'retellepathicandcantalktoeachotherwithoutactuallytalk.ThatswhyIgrowled,becausesheusedmyfullname," Lex says and if I didn't know what he was talking about, I would have no idea what he said. "Sorry, can you say that a little slower so I can understand you this time," my father says, "Nova and I are telepathic and can talk to each other without actually talking and that's why I growled earlier, because we were talking and she used my full name to get on my nerves." Dad kind of looks stunned but quickly hides it. "Makes sense, I mean a wolf hasn't looked like this and that power with it's bonded since the first rulers," my Dad says, making my jaw drop. Lex, ask him about why I look like a demon fireball'okay.' "King Apollo, Nova would like to know a little more why she looked like, and I quote, a demon fireball," Lex says, making my father laugh, "well, that's because you kind of are if I am correct. You would be the direct descendant of the sun god and moon goddesses child, Kalindi. Your name means, new. So it would make sense that you are to bring the next race of wolves," my father says. I can't really comprehend this, so I take my clothes behind a tree and imagine me in human form just as Dad said. I put my clothes on and walk out from behind the tree. Once I'm fully out, Lex and my Dad are starring at me again. "Oh, what's wrong with me now?" I ask and Lex says, "Nova..your hair." I go back over to that pond and look in it seeing that my black hair has black flames coming down from it and i noticed that My hair is at least past my but, somehow making it a whole 14 inches longer. Okay, that's kinda of freaking me out. Next thing I know, everything is going black and I feel myself fall to the ground.
