Time went by as shadow and sonic clothing was all dry from being near the fireplace in their room they both got dressed and sonic didn't say a word to shadow so shadow tried to lighten his spirit again

'if you keep acting like that I might just keep you when this is over'

'impossible if you're giving me to Mephiles'

'Who said that was doing that?'

sonic was confused as shadow pulled him out of the bedroom and downstairs to the tavern and order 2 beers from the barmaid and sat down around a small table waiting for sonic then lean closer and whispered to shadow

'what do you mean?'

'I told you I want to strike rich but I also told you that I want to be the next king of the pirates didn't I'

'yea and what's that got to do with me?'

the barmaid sat the drinks down and shadow gave her a gold coin for the drinks and left

'and it means I'm planning to kill him when his guard is lowered and that would be when he's with you and after that I will let you go so you can carry on playing hero for others'

'you must be dumb if you think that going to work on the king of the pirates you know Mephiles is not the type to be killed easily'

'that's why I'm going to wait until his full attention is on you when he's in bed with you again.... perhaps but don't worry if all goes well you can keep your life and your virginity too'

sonic crossed his arms and blush when shadow was going to use him in this way

'if you think I'm getting in his bed again you have another thing coming I nearly threw up last time doing that'

'I know you don't want too but please just bare with it and I'll come to save the savoir before anything happens to you'

'tsk......fine I guess I don't have a choice do I and if you by some chance succeed then I want the prisoners of mephiles island freed then'

'fine if that's what you want I'll do that just for you now drink up we need to meet the crew back at the ship'

shadow drank his drink and sonic only had half but was thinking about what shadow had just said to him and had to ask just to ease his mind again

'you would really let me go after and leave me and my crew alone'

shadow saw sonic face and saw not his normal cocky expression but instead an innocent and sincere one making shadow move sonic drink closer to him to get him to drink the rest

'look you may think all pirates are the same with the killing and robbing others thing, but unlike them I do have a little heart for mobians who deserve it. so when this is all done I won't go after you but I do hope we cross paths again sometimes and have a drink together just like now'

sonic looked down at his drink and mumbled the words that he thought he would never say to a pirate ever but he wanted to shadow know that he did appreciate it

'if that is true then you are not a bad hedgehog so...thank you shadow and also before when I cried'

shadow stop for a minute and sonic looked back at him and saw a kind smile from shadow making him smile back

'come on drink up we have to go'

sonic nodded while still smiling and drank the rest of his drink and they both left.

back at the doom ship:

they went aboard but saw nobody there with shadow thinking that something was not right till heard a voice behind them

'so you are the captain of this ship nice to meet you'

they both turned and saw to the sudden surprise mephiles who then click his fingers and saw the rest of his crew come out with swords at the ready along with silver and rouge who look as if they were beaten to a pulp kneeling on the floor.

just the sight of rouge and silver being hurt made shadow furious at the smirking hedgehog that call's himself the king of the pirates.

'WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO MY CREW MATES!'

'oh don't worry these two are the only ones left alive well apart from my spy of course'

one of the random wolf from shadow crew bowed to mephiles when he told him he did a good job and tossed a coin for his reward

'I heard from my spy here that you were planning to kill me and take my place as pirate king by using the kid who is also known as the captain of the blue savior that I've been searching for....infinite can you'

infinite pull out the key from silver and then the map from rouge and walk over to the two hedgehogs and unchained sonic
sonic wasn't going to just be taken and punched him in the gut making infinite bent over from the pain sonic then knee him in the forehead and took his sword and passed it to shadow

'shadow help them two I'll distract mephiles crew'

shadow couldn't say anything as sonic ran to the sail and grab some rope using incredible speed and ran around the crew tiring them all up in a second

'GO SHADOW!'

shadow stop watching sonic and ran to rouge and silver to get them free but Mephiles was in the way along with a few of his crew 

he fight's the crew first with the sword he had, slicing them on the way till he was in front of Mephiles who was ready to strike shadow but sonic grab him from behind trying to kick him down but mephiles rammed him into a wall on the ship causing him to let go and let go and kneel to the ground trying to get up but had Mephiles blade against his neck.

'SONIC I'M COMING!'

shadow ran to them but was kicked on the side by infinite

'here you are the little thief I've been looking everywhere for you and then hearing that your not just any normal kid but the blue savior himself no wonder you were so eager to get me in bed'

'shut up and don't flatter yourself scumbag'

mephiles grab sonic by the throat and pulled him up and closer to him

'you're coming with me and as for the captain and the other two I think they need to sink along with their ship'

shadow was grabbed by both of mephiles's crew members and taken to the cells of his own ship along with rouge and silver but shadow was struggling in their grip shouting at mephiles

'YOU BASTARD DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH SONIC WHEN I GET OUT OF THIS YOU'LL BE SORRY...SONIC DON'T LET HIM LAY A FINGER ON YOU!'

shadow was then push down after he spoke with mephiles then turning his attention on sonic who was struggling to breath due to mephiles tight grip

'well now that he's out of the way let's get out of here and to your new home sonic'

'argr...go..to..hell'

as soon as sonic was taken off the ship shadow was inside and had the cell door shut behind him with rouge and silver then heard it locked and kick the door out of frustration but then went to the two to see if they were alright.

'you guys ok you can walk can you'

'yes captain but I don't think we can walk anywhere when were trapped here'

'I'll find a way so sit tight and save your energy'

just then there was a massive bang and rumble throughout the ship making it shake violently with a sudden gush of heat hit the three back against a wall with that being the last thing that the three could remembered.
