Leopardstar's voice rang in your ears. You stare up at the spotted golden leader as she leaped down and touched noses with you. Ever since your mother died, Leopardstar felt let a foster mother to you. She couldn't milk you, so Mistyfoot did, but she always cheered you up and cared for you when you were sick. Of course, Mistyfoot did too, but she had her own kits to take care of. Y/S/N and Y/B/N didn't have Leopardstar as a foster mother, they had Mosspelt.
"REEDPAW! Y/A/N! PIKEPAW! PRIMROSEPAW!" the cats of RiverClan cheered.
Reedpaw gave her a delighted glance, "We're apprentices together!"
"You are so lucky!" Y/S/N said.
"Enjoy your time with Reedpaw," Y/B/N teased. You felt your ears heat.
"Shut up!" you snap.
"Y/A/N, are you ready?" Leopardstar's soft voice made you turn. Your foster mother lapped at your fur.
"Yea," you answer, "Um, can I talk to you before we leave?"
"Of course, do you want Reedpaw to come?" Leopardstar asked.
"Yes," you reply.
"Reedpaw!" Leopardstar called, "I need you for a second."
Reedpaw said something to Blackclaw, then bounded over.
"What?" Reedpaw asked.
"Reedpaw, do you like me?" your ask.
"Of course," Reedpaw answered.
"Leopardstar, can me and Reedpaw become mates when we become warriors?" you ask.
"Why of course. I wouldn't say no!" Leopardstar turned to Reedpaw, "Is that okay with you?"
Reedpaw's eyes were shining, and he nodded.
"I'd love to," Reedpaw exclaimed, then frowned, "But what about Hawkpaw?"
"What about Hawkpaw?" you ask uncertainly.
"Y/A/N, I love you," Reedpaw said, "But Hawkpaw does too. I'm not saying you shouldn't be my mate, but Hawkpaw....well, he might want revenge."
"Who cares what Hawkpaw thinks?" you reply.
"I might be able to make another den, just for the two of you," Leopardstar suggested.
"Leopardstar, I think that's way too much," you protest.
"Nonsense, it will prove to the Clan that you two are pure mates," Leopardstar said, her voice allowing no argument.
"Okay!" you say cheerily.
"Is that agreed, Reedpaw?" Leopardstar asked.
"Sure!" the black tom exclaimed.
"Okay then," Leopardstar said.
You stand up tall, "Leopardstar, can you promise it?"
Leopardstar purred, "I promise by StarClan that I will get a new den set up for the two of you, and that you will be mates for a lifetime!"
You smile. That was it.
