Dinner with the best

The sun was up and its rays hit Raq's face directly as they passed the naked glass window on his side of the bed. Irritated by the rays hitting hard in his eyes, he woke up finding Shamz cuddled up in the blanket like a prawn. He kept observing her for a while and kissed her good morning before getting out of bed. He put on his chappals and fixed the curtain so that the sun doesn't disturb her sleep. He went to the kitchen, heated water for them, and came back to wake her up.
Raq: Baby, good morning, wake up.
Shamz: Some more time baby, please!
Raq: I thought, we could have breakfast together as we have work today.
She signaled him to kiss her on her cheeks, he did as she said, after there little morning "we time", she finally got up. He handed her the cup of warm water, asked her to freshen up, and left the room as she went into the washroom.
In the kitchen, he was fighting a battle to make breakfast. He knew he could do it, he had managed to impress her with his cooking skills on the date night they had in ott. He picked the safest option ever, scrambled eggs, toasted bread, and fresh malta-pomegranate juice. He set the breakfast table for them and went to call her.
Shamz was on a call with Sunu ma when he entered the bedroom to call her, after signaling her to come out once she finished the call, he exited the room to check on the eggs. After a few minutes, she came and couldn't believe the amount of effort he had put in to make that breakfast. She was happy and delighted by his gesture and thought she would reward him for it. She went into the kitchen and stood behind him, her front against his back and hands wrapped around his torso,  leaving his arms free. She tightened the grip of her hug in the attempt to get closer to him and then finally broke the silence,
Shamz: Baby, what are we doing tonight?
Ra: I am not sure, there is no plan yet. I am away for work the whole day.
Shamz: Mumma was asking if we could go out for dinner with her tonight!
Raq: Of course, we can. I have some meetings to finish in the day after which I am all yours.
Shamz: I have my dance rehearsals too, it's for the Colors Holi event that is happening this weekend.
Raq: We can discuss this over breakfast, come let's eat.
They walked out of the kitchen with Raq holding the plate of eggs in one hand and holding Shamz hand in the other. He kept the plate on the table and pulled out a chair for her to sit. Once she sat, he began to feed her. After having breakfast together, Raq got ready and left for work while Shamz cleared the table and got the house clean.
That evening, having wrapped up all his meetings, Raq called Shamz. She was busy with her rehearsals. She missed a few calls as the music was loud. Later in a break, she managed to check her phone. She immediately returned his call,
Shamz: Sorry baby, I couldn't hear the phone. Are you done?
Raq: Yes, where are you?
Shamz: At rehearsals, you can go back home and I shall meet you there. Talk to Mumma and finalize the plan, please.
Raq: Ok, see you at home, bye.
Shamz: Bye, love you.
By the time Raq got home, he had spoken to Sunnu ma. He played with Phoebe while waiting for Shamz. A hurried Shamz finally entered the home, Raq got up to hug her but she stopped him.
Shamz: Baby, don't touch me please, I am all sweaty. Let me go have a shower first.
Raq: I missed you!
Shamz: Awww, I missed you too. Please hold  Phoebe, or else, she will come into the room.
Shamz went into the room and had a quick shower and began to dress for dinner. She called in Raq as he had to change as well.
Raq was mesmerized when he saw her in a pink satin dress with a slit on one side below her knee.
Raq: You aren't supposed to look that hot, baby.
Shamz: Baby, I need to match you.
After having dressed up, she checked on him, he was ready waiting for her. She quickly went to him and checked his shirt.
Shamz: Baby, I am putting on these buttons too. This hotness is only for me to see, I need to protect it.
Raq: Do what you like baby, I am all yours.
They hugged each other, their famous bear hug, they swayed a little. After being reminded about the dinner, they left home as they had to pick up Sunu ma on the way.
On reaching the restaurant, media was present to pap them, Raq helped Sunu ma on the ramp as she went towards the restaurant. He came back and posed with Shamz and they left hand in hand for dinner as Sunu ma was waiting for them inside.
With a lot of fun, good food, and great company, the dinner came to an end. Sun ma was at peace to see her children happy. While at the exit, the paps were still waiting for them. After getting clicked, Raq being the perfect gentleman, helped Sunu ma get into the car while Shamz got in from the other side. Once the women were inside, Raq got in while they drove off to drop Sunu ma and go back home.
Back at home, Shamz was in bed while Raq was changing. As soon as he came out, Shamz asked him to put Phoebe in her bed outside as this little one wouldn't let them sleep in peace.
After doing that, Raq was finally in bed, he began to play with Shamz hair,
Raq: Baby, I have an award function to attend tomorrow night and then I leave for Pune.
Shamz: Why so soon?
Raq: There is another award night in Pune, I am being nominated and I have to be there.
Shamz: Work calls baby! I cannot even say, please stay back. But you will be back soon, right?
Raq: Yes, very soon.
Shamz: All set for tomorrow?
Raq: Yes, I am excited, I am going to meet so many of my industry friends.
Shamz: I am feeling sad!
Raq: Why?
Shamz: Cause I won't get to see you after that.
Raq: Pune Chalo phir, baby.
Shamz: I promise that's happening very soon. Abhi toh kaam hai, rehersals chal rahi hai. Can I style you for tomorrow's event?
Raq: I have told my stylist but you can do the final touches.
Shamz: Have you finalized your outfit?
Raq: Not yet, she will send me options in the morning.
Shamz: Great! I hope you are wearing a suit, you look hot in a suit.
Raq: Yes, a suit.
Shamz: Perfect, too hot to handle. Wow, this is bad, I won't have you around after that.
Raq: Baby, you have me now.
Shamz: Haha, let's sleep, we have a long day tomorrow.
Raq: Yes, muaah! I will miss you when I am away.
Shamz: Me too!
He kissed her on her cheeks after which he had to wipe his lips and there was cream all over them. A satisfied Raq finally slept with his love in his arms.
