Robin's laugh (A Young Justice Fan Fiction)

Chapter 1

It was a Saturday afternoon at Mt. Justice and the Team was enjoying their day off together. "Ok, who ate the last chocolate chip?!" Well, most were enjoying it.

Artemis rolled her eyes "Wally, you've already had twelve, I think it's ok if one of us ate the last one."

He ran over to her "Was it you?!"

She rolled her eyes "No it wasn't me!"

He then ran to Kaldur "Do you know who took the last cookie?!"

He shook his head "I am sorry my friend. I do not."

Next was Conner's "Did you..."

"No." he went back to watching the static.

"Megan, I don't know who ate the last cookie!" he complained.

"Wally it's not a big deal, as soon as Black Canary gets back with the groceries I am going to make more." She said sweetly.

He sighed and collapsed on the couch "That's not the point! It's the principle that someone would have the audacity to..." he stopped when someone entered the room.

Robin walked in and saw that everyone was staring at him. "Hey, guys... what's up...?"

"You!!!" Wally's eyes filled with rage. "How dare you betray my trust?!"

Robin was so confused "What's he going on about?"

Artemis sighed "he's mad 'cuz he thinks you took the last cookie."

"Ah..." Robin nodded "Yeah I did..."

Wally ran at him and tackled him to the ground "How dare you?!"

"Walls chill, you're kinda freaking out..." Robin tried to reason with him. "Remember, bros before Oreos. This isn't you."

Wally stood up and helped Robin "Sorry dude, went a little crazy, there didn't I?"

Robin grinned "Just a tad."

"Hey guys, I'm back." Black Canary walked into the kitchen carrying bags of groceries. "Here's your cookie mix Megan."

"Yes!!!" Wally ran after her hoping to get some cookie dough.

At this moment Robin let out his signature cackle. He couldn't help himself from laughing at his friend's antics.

Wally shivered "Dude, you know how much that creeps me out..."

He grinned "I know. I mostly do it to bug you at this point."

Wally rolled his eyes "jerk..."

~time skip~

Megan had finished the cookies, so the team was enjoying them with a nice glass of milk as they sat and talked. "This kid in PE yesterday bet me ten bucks that he could beat me in an archery contest." Artemis was in the middle of telling a story.

"What did you say?" Kaldur asked.

"I took him up on the bet. I figured I wouldn't have to show how good I really was. All I had to do was beat him." She continued. "He set up the targets and we both took aim. We each had five shots. I hit two bullseyes and shot a couple off to the side. I thought I had won until I looked at his and saw he made all bullseyes! He even split one of the arrows in half! He then bragged about it all day!"

"Man..." Wally laughed and looked over at Robin "that guy sounds like a total Dick..."

"Wally, that isn't very nice." Megan scolded.

"Funny you say that," Artemis laughed "His name was Dick Grayson."

The whole team started laughing, including Robin. They all knew he had a creepy laugh, but sometimes it was just unnerving. "Cut it out Rob, that's just creepy..." Artemis scolded.

"Can't you ever just laugh like a normal person?" Wally asked aggravated.

Robin stopped laughing but kept up his smile. "I could. But what fun would that be?"

Wally rolled his eyes "Well it would keep you from sounding like a maniac so that's a start."

Robin stopped smiling "I'm not a maniac..."

"My friend, it seems like it really upsets our fellow teammates." Kaldur started. "Please laugh normally when you are around them from now on."

"Oh... ok..." Robin looked at his wrist computer. "Batman needs me... I've gotta go..." he quickly stood up and walked through the Zeta Tube.

~time skip~

When Dick arrived at the Batcave, he threw his mask on the floor in anger. He then went up to his room and fell on the bed. Before he knew it, he was crying. They didn't understand what had happened to him. They could never understand why he laughed like he did. It wasn't his fault he laughed like a crazy person, it was the Joker's...
