After a while, Dick fell asleep. Dinah quietly snuck out of the room and went to make a phone call. She wasn't going to let her baby continue to be hurt, by the people he thought of as friends. And she knew a few other people who would think the same.

"Maybe we were kind of harsh..." The team were all gathered in the living room.
Kaldur looked down, "You... may be right..."
"It's kid mouth's fault!" Artemis glared at him.
"Hey! Don't through all the blame on me!" he looked down, "But yeah... it is my fault. I just... For as long as I've known Robin, he's always had that creepy laugh. And it just... it didn't use to bother me, but after everything we've been through, everything this team has been through, it all just... sorta came to a head. I've put up with it for so long, and I've had enough."
"It is kind of creepy..." Conner muttered.
"Why doesn't he just laugh like a normal person?" Megan asked.
"Because he can't." they looked up in surprise, to see Superman, Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Black Canary standing over them.
"Um... why is the Justice League here?" Artemis glanced around the room.
"We're here 'cuz you kids got some explaining to do!" Green Arrow glared at them.
"Easy. Easy Ollie." Dinah put a hand on his shoulder. "We don't need to completely terrify them."
"Can we terrify them a bit?" Hal asked.
Diana glared at him, "You're not helping either."
"Look," Barry stepped forward, "Dinah called us and told us what happened, I've got to say, I'm very disappointed in you all."
"Come on Uncle Barry! We weren't trying to be mean to him." Wally defended. "We just got tired of him laughing like that. Why is it such a big deal that we asked him to stop?"
"Because he can't laugh any differently," Clark told them gently. "Robin was in an accident when he was young."
"The Joker exposed him to an experimental batch of Joker gas." Diana continued. "Batman did everything he could to fix him, but Robin's laugh was never the same."
"I... I never knew that..." Wally said in shock.
"Why did he never tell us?" Kaldur asked.
"He was afraid that you all would make fun of him," Oliver said bitterly.
"Nice work, you made his fears come true," Hal said just as harshly.
"We're not telling you kids this to make you feel bad." Dinah stared the two down, "Although you should feel bad. But we're telling you this so that you know how Robin is feeling."
"He... he must be so sad..." Megan was on the verge of tears. We were so mean to him..."
"He's hurt now..." Clark put a hand on her shoulder, "but I've known Robin long enough to know that he won't stay upset forever. Just give him time..."
"Time for what?" they all looked up and saw Robin standing in the doorway.
The whole team rushed to him and was enveloped in a group hug. "We are so sorry..."
"It's ok..." he gave them a small smile, "I forgive you..."
They all started talking again, and they were smiling.
"Good idea not involving Bruce in all of this." Ollie whispered to Dinah, "that could have gotten pretty scary..."
"Don't worry, I'm sure he would have stepped in if he felt it was needed." She smirked, "He's got this whole cave wired..."
