"Ah, there's my favorite barista!" A deep voice chimes as they enter the cafeteria. I turn around. Right on time. "I'm not a barista, Strange." I replied. "You should be. You make the best damn coffee in the entire hospital. You should open up a business. You'll give Starbucks a run for their money." He says. I worked in the cafeteria of the New York General Hospital. Whenever he's not performing surgery, Dr. Strange will come by here for his coffee, and he only wants me to make it.

"Yeah, and if I do that, I'll have to start charging you." I smirked. I made his coffee how I always do. Black with two sugars. "Oh, I know you'd make an exception me." He gave me a wink. I chuckled as I handed him his coffee. "You are so arrogant. You really think I'd give you free coffee if I had my own business?" I asked. He took a sip of his coffee and placed his hand over mine that was resting on the counter.

I felt his thumb rub my hand. He then takes the cup away from his lips. "I know you would, darling. After all, I gave you the idea, I deserve some credit in free coffee." He says. I narrow my eyes but had a small sassy smirk on my lips. Stephen leaned forward a bit, our faces mere centimeters away. I move my hand from his and he stops his movements. "You're on the clock, doctor." I say, putting my hand on my hip.

He let's out a laugh. "Right." He says. I look down at my phone that was behind the counter. I was watching a live stream. It was that God of mischief Loki attacking Stuttgart Germany. Something big was gonna happen. No doubt the ancient one will reach out to me for help. "What are you watching?" Stephen asked. "Oh, nothing." I turned off my phone.

As if on cue, I started receiving texts and calls from not only the ancient one, but my older brother and granddad, who are also masters of the mystic arts. I had my phone on silent and put it in my pocket. "You best get back to work, doc. I'll see you around." I gave him a wink and went to clock out. "Bit early for you to leave, isn't it?" I asked. "Something came up. I gotta go." I tell him, now starting to leave. "What's wrong?" He asked.

I bite my lip. I couldn't tell him, he'd never believe me. How do I explain magic to a man of science? This job was just a side gig for me, to help with finances. Why the ancient one insisted I get a part time job at the cafeteria of a hospital, I have no clue. "Just a personal family matter I have to take care of. Look, I'll explain it all to you eventually, but I have to go." I told him. "Don't go..." He says.

Stephen stood in front of me, now cupping my jaw. I felt my eyes water. "You'll live without your coffee for a few days." He couldn't help but smirk at my comment. I stood on my tip toes and pecked him on the lips. He wasn't my boyfriend, but we do flirt with each other an awful lot. I then carefully removed his hands. "Get back to work, doctor." I said with a wink. "Don't tell me what to do." He teased.

I ruffled up his hair. "I'll see you around." I grabbed my purse and then head out. Once I'm for sure I was out of sight, I used my sling ring and opened up a portal inside my apartment. I felt bad. I needed to tell Stephen, but how? I can't just leave him like that. I needed to see him one last time before I go help the ancient one. I sighed and changed into my regular clothes. Some time after the sun went down, I made my way to Stephen's place.

I portal my way just outside his door and knocked. Moments later, he answers. "Corbin." I look up at him. "Hey." He carefully takes my hand. "I thought you had some family business to take care of?" He asked. "I do, but I wanted to see you one last time before I left." I explained. "Come in." He began pulling me into his place and I let him. He closed the door and I followed him to his couch and we sat down.

"So, you just had to see me one last time. I must be really special. Couldn't stay away?" He says with a grin. I sighed. "Stephen." I grumbled. He looked down at my legs which had a few tattoos. "Huh. I didn't know you had tattoos. Got anymore?" He asked, placing his hand on my bare leg. I glare at him and he pulls away. "Sorry. Did I make you uncomfortable?" He asked. My eyes widen. "N-no! You didn't!"

Truth be told, I didn't want him to move his hand away. I wanted to feel his hand go up my skirt. I wanted him to kiss me earlier when I gave him his coffee. Why did I always have to push him away? I shouldn't wonder about that. It's pretty self explanatory. I can't have a relationship with someone and keep them in the dark about my life in the mystic arts. Plus, I'd only be putting Stephen in danger.

"So... what's this family business you gotta take care of?" He asks as he reached over to his coffee table where two wine glasses and a bottle of red wine were. He poured the two glasses of wine and handed one to me and I took a sip. "Hmm. My family are sorcerers and they need me for battle." I say like it's the most normal thing in the world. Stephen let's out a sarcastic laugh.

"Fine, don't tell me." He says. I smile softly and look down. "I'm sorry. It's difficult to explain." I said and finsih my wine. "How long will you be gone?" He asked, placing his hand on my knee. I forced myself not to glare or smack his hand. I wanted to feel this. "I don't know." I started, feeling his hand go up on my thigh, the tips of his fingers under my skirt. My heart started racing. Stephen's face was dangerously close to mine.

"A while maybe. But I... just wanted to see you one last time." My breath hitched. His hand was now completely under my skirt. "Lets make the most of what little time we may have." He immediately kisses me right after. I quickly straddle his hips, kissing him back. The kiss was rough yet passionate. I used my magic to place our wine glasses back on the coffee table and Stephen pinned me to the couch.

His tounge pushed its way passed my lips and I arched my back. Stephen then pulls away. "Hang on, let's move this to my bedroom, otherwise all the neighbors will have a front row seat." He says. I chuckled. He did have rather large windows in his front room. We went to finish what we started in his bed. Halfway through, I accidentally made sparks with my hands, forgetting about my sling ring.

"What was that?" He asked. My eyes were half lidded. We were both a panting sweating mess. We were both literally halfway into our... relation. "Sparks are flying tonight, d-doc." I half moan. He quickly comes back down and kisses me with hunger. I discreetly take off my sling ring and move my hands to his back and began scratching. This may be the last time I see him. I may as well enjoy myself while I can.

Time skip

Loki was attacking New York. Aliens were coming from a portal in the sky. The avengers were doing everything in their power to stop it. "It's good to have you back, sis." Said my older brother Sebastien. "Did you get to say your goodbyes?" Asked granddad. "Yeah." I stated. The two of us made our way to the sanctum sanctorum to help the ancient one guard it. I was now in my robes. Mine were all black.

"Are you good?" Sebastien asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." I replied. I was pretty sore from last night's events. My legs felt wobbly, but I ignored it and just walked it off. I had made sure Stephen got to the hospital safely. He's currently performing surgery. I doubt he has any idea of what's going on. I went to the roof where the ancient one is while my brother and granddad stayed on the ground. "You'll see him again. Someday."

The ancient one assured as we fought off the aliens. "Who, Stephen? How do you know?" I asked, opening and closing a portal on an alien, beheading it. "Honestly, Corbin, I have the time stone. I've seen his future, and yours too." She explained. I look at her. "You've looked into Stephen's future?" I asked. "Its many possibilities." She said with a smile. What was she planning? What does it have to do with Stephen? Will I really see him again.

A/N: This was originally a one shot in my Doctor Strange One Shots and Drabbles book, but decided to make an entire series about it.
