Since I Lost You (Riker Lynch)

Chapter-13

Emily POV-

I pull back. "What do you remember?" I asked.

"I remember, me leaving Colorado. I remember us kissing, I remember you getting your license. I remember everything that happened before the crash!" He explains.

"Omg." I whisper, then I kiss him. Rydel looks at me confused.

'He remembers.' I mouth to her. She perks up, then whispers something to the others.

They also perk up. "GROUP HUG!" Ryland yells. They all get off the blanket, we had laid down for the picnic, then they form a group hug around us.

"I love you." I see Riker mouth to me. "I love you." I mouth back to Riker.

After we pull apart from the hug, we all sit down and eat.

I run into my moms house, and squeal. "Mom?!" I yell through the big house.

"Em! Your here!" She exclaims. I hug her, then we pull apart.

"What brings you here?" She asks, as we both sit on the black couch.

"Riker remembers." I whisper excitedly. "Riker remembers what?" She asks.

"He remembers everything Mom. Everything that had happened before the crash!" I explain.

"That's great sweetie! I'm happy for you." She smiles. "Thanks. Is Dad here?" I ask.

"Yeah, he's in the kitchen." She states. I go to the kitchen to find Dad eating, in his uniform.

"Dad, why are you in your uniform?" I ask, as tears brim to my eyes.

"Em, you know this day would come. You know I do have to go back." He states.

"But I'll miss you." I cry. He sits me on his lap, like I used to when I was a little girl.
"I'll miss you too, but I'll be careful. I promise." He promised.

The door slams, and Catie comes stomping into the kitchen.

"What's your problem?" Dad asks. She huffs, as she looks through the freezer.

"Ross is my problem. He got a part in a show, which I'm happy for that, by his co-star, Laura, is such a bish." She explains.

"Ross got the part? That's awesome." I state.

Catie looks at Dad, then looks at the fridge. She does a double take; "Dad why are you in your uniform?" She asks.

"I'm leaving again." He mumbles sadly. Soon enough, Catie was crying on my shoulder, as we watch our Dad get in his jeep.

"I love you girls!" He yells out the window, as he drives off.

"Wanna join me with some ice cream, pjs, and Netflix?" Catie sniffles.

"Sure." I whisper.

Later that evening Riker and Ross had come over to comfort us.

Riker and I were laying on the ground, with blankets under us. My head was in his chest, as I think of how I wont see my Dad for another 3 years.

On the other hand Riker was singing 'Look At Us Now' quietly in my ear.

Catie's bedroom door opens. "Aw. Let me take a picture of each couple." Sounds like Mom.

I hear two snaps, and then she leaves.

"Look at us now..."
