(Roger- 4 years old)

"Mom, Dad, please don't go inside!" The Cyan fox begged his parents. Roger's Mom handed his newborn baby cousin- Tailset.

"Roger, everything will be fine...," She smiled at him. Jewels took off her ring and gave it to her son, "I want you to keep this."

Before Roger could say a thing both adults ran to the house that was about to blow up, "Sis! We need to get you out of here!" Xavier told another twin-tailed fox.

"What's going on?" Faye asked her brother. There was a sickening boom as the house exploded- with the four foxes still inside.

"NO!" Roger screamed. Tailset woke up and started crying, "Shhh..., it's okay...," he rocked the crying child. The Cyan fox looked at the burning house, his purple eyes clouded with grief and sadness, then bitterness and rage. "I will find out who did this..., mark my words!" He picked up the only things that were left- his father's tranq-gun and an old picture before turning away from the flames with his cousin.

(Eight years later)

"Give it back, Ziggy!" The twelve-year-old fox tried to tackle the skittish kitten.

"No way~!" She chimed and ducked out of the way. She vanished- making Roger even angrier.

"I'M NOT FUCKING KIDDING ZIGGY!!!" He thundered. "That's important!"

"Is it for you're girlfriend?" Ziggy's voice giggled.

"That's my Mom's!" He dictated. Ziggy was quiet and she re-appeared and held out the ring.

"I- I didn't know..., I'm sorry, Roger," The light brown cat apologized. Roger snatched the ring from his housemate with a glare.

"You're a huge pain, you know that!?" The fox snapped making the girl flinch. Roger stormed away from his friend and slammed the door.

"What's wrong with him?" Jackson asked Prince.

"Roger has PTSD," The Rabbit explained.

"PT- what?" James asked.

"Post-traumatic stress disorder. It's when you experience something terrible and you have a hard time living your life normally afterwards," Prince sighed.

"Oh my...," The Jackal whispered. "You mean he wasn't always like this?"

"Who knows?" Prince inquired back. "He was always like this when I met him."

Roger looked at his Mom's ring, he sighed and put it in his pocket, and went to take a walk. The fox knew it wasn't fair to act like this but his innocents didn't break out years ago- it shattered. Those last moments with his parents were bitter to Roger, he knew he could have done more to stop them.

"Ro-ger!" Someone called out. The Cyan fox looked behind him and saw his cousin running towards him. "Wait up!" Tailset exclaimed.

Roger smiled softly, Tailset was his family so she was everything to him. "Hey cuz! How are you?"

"Great!" She smiled. A random person tripped Tailset, "Ow! Hey, what was that for!?"

"Watch where you're going, freak!" He snapped. Roger decked the wolf hard enough that his head snapped and kneed him in the stomach. The wolf groaned, "What the heck, man?"

"You leave my cousin alone!" Roger fumed. The wolf ran away and Roger went over to Tailset, "Are you okay?"

"Why did you do that!? You're going to get in trouble!" She told him. Roger rolled his eyes- he could care less what happened to him unless it would affect his cousin.

"Who cares? That guy was a-!" Roger stopped before he finished that sentence. "Can you walk?" Tailset got up and they continued walking.

"Hi Tailset, Roger!" Lavender waved at her friends. Allison and Sora were with the Arctic Wolf, "We were going to go get some ice cream, want to come?"

"No thanks," Roger told her. "You go enjoy yourself, Tailset. I'll see you later!" He hugged the purple fox and went over to Shadow and Sonic, "Hey guys!"

"Hey, good seeing you here Roger!" Sonic beamed. "What's up?"

"Nothing..., other than Ziggy being a pain in my ass," Roger shrugged.

"Yeah, she's the worst," Shadow agreed. "Did she call you an idiot?"

"No, she stole my Mom's ring," He told the hedgehog. Shadow hummed.
