In a world similar, yet far more dangerous where Pokemon are far more dangerous and have been known to attack and even kill people. One woman decided to become the strongest trainer in the world as well as to learn all that this world has to offer.
"So this is it. This is the spot where dozens have vanished." I said, suddenly I heard a baby crying I sprinted to the baby and found a baby boy on the ground crying. I picked him up and held him, "Poor thing." I said, suddenly I heard a pokemon cry angrily behind me.

"An alpha!" I said, "Well time to fight fire with fire!" I said, "GO GARCHOMP!" I said as I threw out my poke ball and summoned my pokemon, but he walked off and looked at a flower.

"OH COME ON!" I said, suddenly the Gardevoir used Shadow Ball I dove down and shielded the baby with my body. I felt myself being lifted off the ground and the baby being ripped from my arms and flying into hers. A berry floated off the ground and into her hand, "She's protecting him?!" I said in shock as I noticed what berry she was about to feed him, "STOP DON'T GIVE THAT TO HIM!" I shouted drawing her attention, "That berry is a Nuko Berry, also known as the Phantom Fruit. It's harmless to Pokemon, but for humans, it's highly poisonous. If you give him that berry he will die." I said making her hesitate, "I don't think you want to kill him. You seem to care about him very much so let me take him. I promise to keep him safe and happy." I said she let me down and hesitantly handed the baby over to me, I felt almost sorry for her, I could tell she truly cared for him and only was doing what she thought was best for him. "You know this doesn't have to be goodbye. I could make sure you two can be together." I said as I took a special Poke Ball out of my bag.

She didn't hesitate to put her hand on the ball and let herself get caught, "Well it looks like this trip wasn't a total waste." I said.
I realized very quickly that I was in way over my head, "S-St-Stop squirming! You're gonna fall!" I said as I entered the one place I could think to go, "Help me." I said as the baby wriggled out of my arms, thankfully she caught him, "Well aren't you a cutie." she said as she tickled the baby, "Hello Mother." I said as I looked up at my mother.

"Cynthia dear, why is it you have a baby with you?" She asked, "Well I sorta saved his life and promised to care for him...but I'm in way over my head." I said, "I get it now." she said, "Mom, I have no idea what I'm doing." I said, "Cynthia, you've always excelled at everything you set out to do. You've always chosen to succeed and refused to fail no matter what. But being a mother is not something you can succeed in. You will make mistakes and fail more times than you can count, but so long as you learn, grow, and love your child, you will be a good mother." she said, "I think I get it." I said as I took the baby, "I think I'll name him, (y/n)." I said.
