June’s POV:
Hunter has a pet?! I never thought he was capable of owning one.
From the few encounters we’d had, they weren’t exactly pleasing.
So, what would happen to one of his own? She was stuck with him every second of every day.
It must be terrible.
“h-how do you manage?” from how I’ve seen Hunter act, being his pet must be torture.
“I try” she shrugged it off like it was nothing. But it was a pretty big deal.
“what about you? Who’s your master?”
“it’s Xander”
“you’re a lucky pet. I would do anything to be his. Anyone’s better than Hunter” there was a hint of disgust in her voice not that I blame her.
Hunter was a whole lot of things. I don’t think he even cared about his female species.
Maybe I could be wrong. After all, most vampire males treat humans like trash.
“I was actually going for a walk and was wondering if you could join me” since we might be here for a while, it’s better we get to know each other.
She could choose to reject my offer if she wanted though.
It’s not like-
“I’d love that” she said with a smile and held my hand.

“I can’t believe your life is that difficult” I gave Willow a quick hug.
For however long we’ve been walking we’ve shared so many things about each-other, she’s been telling me about how she survives not only Hunter but three other vampires as well.
Well technically two.
One of them treats her like how Xander treats me. She even calls him her Knight in Shining Armor.
She told me of the horrors she went through with them.
She’s so strong; I don’t think I could ever survive what she went through.
“I know; it’s because of him that I survive” she swooned.
Willow is head over heels for this guy and is 100% positive he loves her as well.
“don’t get your hopes up, human-vampire relationships are rare-”
“but not unheard of and who knows, you might be crushing on your master as well” she grinned.
“what?! No! Xander doesn’t think such of me” I shook that thought out of my head. He treats me ok but just as a friend.
“how so? you call him by his name and you’re currently blushing” Willow teased.
