Stepfather: Haha, here's Nikki!
Nicole: (starts to tremble) S-stay a-away from m-me b-brought d-dad! (About the situation? The stepfather grabs Nicole by the neck and throws her in the basement then locks her until the mother comes home)
Mother: Nikki, is everything okay?
Nicole: (whispers to Mother) ^ He doesn't beat me, he doesn't let me eat and throws me in the basement ^
Mother: (in shock) W-what ?!
(he tries to escape)
Mother: Come back E-r-i-k!
Stepfather: (freezes on the spot) ......
In Nicole's mind: "For the first time I see mom angry"
Mother: (kisses Nicole's forehead) Stay here, I'll take care of him!
Nicole: Yeah
(Mother goes to Stepfather)
Mother: Why?
Stepfather: Because I don't like children!
