Chapter IV : Den Of Dragons

An inferno burst through the forest, looking destructive and frightening. Repetitively soaring until the heat dries up the air, Trees surrounding the source collapsed to ashes. Chen watched blankly, Neoubert mastered the advanced techniques of fire magic in a matter of days and have shown quite an improvement. "I think that would be enough" Chen said. Neoubert suppressed his powers and approached her. "Whats wrong?" He asked. "Nothing, Just wanna tell you that you just burn 26 trees during your training. So..... It's better we find an open field so we not harm the environment any further." Neoubert realize his little mistake but he agreed to her opinions. As they walked along the path, Chen told Neo that he remind her of a dragon. "Dragons don't exist." Neoubert said. Chen laughed at his statement, clearly meant that his words are false. Neoubert is confused. Jamie is seen coming back with her horse after picking up more herbs for medication purposes, she saw the two walking out and asked where they are going. She decided to collect more herbs near there and she told them that she will meet them outside later. "Where are the lieutenants?" Neo asked. "They decided to leave earlier to Ruzomar. I almost forgot! They also send you their regards." Neo didn't know about the change of plan but he dosen't mind. He thought of going to help them after finishing training.

Meanwhile, Hafiz walked at the streets of the fortified city. His identity hidden among the demons with his hooded robe, he mapped the city in preparation for their assault. Not a single corner or an alleyway is to be left. Alex and Lee added poison and explosives to their projectiles while Rapi enhances and strengthens his skills. "We strike tonight, the blood moon will conceal our presence and make it easier for us." They all agreed and rested until nightfall. At the palace, Brenda received a report that the assassin's she sent we're captured and detained in the Astraz Prison, waiting to be sliced. She takes action by sending a team of rangers to help them. She thought about the others and feared that the worse would happen to them. As dawn arrived, Jacquelyn halted the cavalry, Glorie then proceeded to move her platoon to the right flank. They will advance to Ruzomar at night where the demons let their guard down.

"Let's do this." The quadro pack up and proceeded to move closer to the wall. Lee shot arrows tied to a rope, acting as a grappling hook for them to climb up. They took out the guards at the wall and dropped down at the rooftops of the buildings. They took down the demons one by one, swiftly slashing their blades and fired their arrows then hide the bodies in a secluded place. But as Eric said, Not everything goes into plan. Jacquelyn and Glorie ordered the assault. Ramming through the main gate and destroying the gigantic walls. Trebuchets threw burning boulders which took out demons and destroyed buildings. Rams hammer their way through the main gate and troops raiding the city. It's not long until they moved most of their guards to the gate sector. "We could use this to our advantage. Alex and Lee, try to help them if you can but don't get spotted. Hafiz will go to the Armoury and try to blow up the weapon caches while I try to find the Commander and take him out." They then split up. The Lieutenants troops savagely destroyed the front defense. Alex and Lee only fired arrows from a distance to ensure the Elven force did not hold back. Hafiz on the other hand arrived at the armoury. Founding the gunpowder barrels, He punctured a hole at the barrels and formed a pile of gunpowder. He lights up his match and threw it into the dark coloured explosive powder. The armoury blew up causing a chain reaction to the nearby weapons caches. Hafiz completed his mission and ran off the scene. Meanwhile, Rapi sneaked in the palace, trying to assasinate the Commander, But to no avail. Only a few guards are there but he gained intel that the Commander is back in Purple Oak. The Elves are close so he quickly regroup back with his team to leave Ruzomar.

Chen and Neoubert, along with Jamie arrived at a massive cave. The cave has sharp rock formations and is thought to have not been disturbed since ages ago. "I feel the creeps, what are we doing here anyway???" Neo asked with fear. Chen replied with a don't worry gesture. They went deeper and deeper until they here some a sound, resembling the breathing of someone sleeping. IT WAS A DRAGON. Jamie and Neo back away slowly, while Chen tried to wake the ferocious looking beast. "What are you doing!? That thing can kill us!" Neo whispered. "It's ok!" Chen replied simply. She picked up a rock and threw it at the dragons forehead. The dragon woke up with its crimson eyes staring at Chen, it spreaded its wings with wrath and shouted "What do you think you're doing?". "Relax~! I just wanted your help" Chen replied jokingly. They got caught in a tiny argument but was soon stopped when it saw the other two. It approached them slowly saying "At least you brought me food!" Neo thought to himself "FOOD!?" and told Chen "What have you gotten us into!?" Chen apologized to them and soon told the dragon who they really were. After a brief explanation, the dragon introduced himself to Neo and Jamie. "I am the 7th generation of the Helgronia Crimsonan. My name is Altazar, but you may call me Al. Chen is one of my apprentices as you can see, and I surely notice that someone else here has the ability as well. Neo agreed and introduced himself as well as Jamie. After telling Al of what has happened to the world, He agrees to help them on their cause.

The Legion Commander heard of what happened to Ruzomar, He is infuriated and ordered his men to prepare for battle. This time he didn't plan to retake Ruzomar, But instead he will aim at the heart of the army itself, The Elven Kingdom. Brenda was well aware of it as he has predicted that it would happen someday but the remaining troops there won't be enough to defend the whole kingdom. She decided to send letters to everyone to come back when they can. She evecuated the people and fortified the mechanical defenses. As the Mistress gaze upon the far-seeing forests, sooner or later, the fire of darkness will soon come from the horizon and they will be brutal.
