Uchiha Sasuke was slumped on his brother's sofa, staring at Izumi who was playing the perfect bride and he felt like throwing up. The more he looked at her, the more she repelled him. Admittedly, his brother had cheated on her, but he couldn't feel sorry for her knowing what she was doing to his best friend behind everyone's backs.
« -I'm going to see your mother, Itachi, we need to talk a bit about the wedding. See you when I get home, okay? »
Uchiha Itachi nodded and his fiancée kissed him tenderly before taking her bag, putting on her little jacket and then her shoes and leaving the house, leaving the two brothers alone. Immediately, the younger brother opened his mouth.
« -You love her? »
Uchiha Itachi frowned.
« -Of course, Izumi is my fiancée. »
A nervous laugh escaped Sasuke's throat and he rolled his eyes.
« -I know everything, Itachi, about Y/n I mean. »
Itachi's world stopped spinning, his heart racing with anguish. That's it, it was time, he was going to lose his brother too.
« -I can explain everything... »
Before he could continue speaking, Sasuke cut him off.
« -You don't need to explain anything to me, Itachi. Y/n explained everything to me and I was never against you dating my best friend. »
Itachi frowned, how so?
« -What...? »
Sasuke rolled his eyes and huffed.
« -Y/n has been in love with you since she was thirteen. She admitted it to me right away and asked me if I was against it. I never have been. If she's happy with you and you're happy with her, I don't see the problem. So I repeat my question, do you like Izumi? »
The older brother took a deep breath and ran his hand over his face, he felt stupid. Stupid for not telling his brother sooner because everything would have been different. He finally opened his mouth after several seconds of silence.
« -No. I don't love her, I loved her it's true but I love your best friend for longer and much more intensely. »
Sasuke nodded and pursed his lips.
« -Listen Itachi, I have to tell you something... »
Instantly, Uchiha Itachi got worried. He didn't like the serious tone his little brother was taking.
« -I'm not going to your wedding. »
Itachi's chest tightened, and he pinched the bridge of his nose. He closed his eyes and shook his head.
« -Why...? - I will not go to a wedding that is doomed. You're getting married but you don't love her. I don't see the point of coming to your wedding. I'm sorry but I won't change my mind. -Sasuke...You're my little brother, I'm begging you to come to my wedding...If it's because Izumi forbade Y/n not to come, I swear to you that I'll do everything to make her come. »
Uchiha Sasuke laughed nervously, he had just told his brother that his marriage was doomed and that's all he had to say. Sasuke abruptly got up from the sofa.
« -Oi, Itachi ! Wake up dammit ! I just told you that your fucking bullshit marriage is doomed and you don't care ? Holy shit, open your eyes ! You will get married while you cheated on Izumi, you will get married while you don't love her. Itachi, why ? You're worth better than that ! -What do you want me to do ? Y/n doesn't want me ! I offer her to go with me, I wanted to cancel everything but she doesn't want to ! I'm madly in love with her, she's the one who doesn't want to be with me. »
Sasuke pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling the anger rising in him, he closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again to look his older brother in the eyes.
« -She fucking loves you too ! She's just afraid that our family will hate her ! They all got used to the idea that you were going to get married and started a family with Izumi. But Y/n never stopped loving you despite everything. So pull yourself together, Itachi. Do something, try to get her back or whatever, but know that as long as you're with Izumi, it's no longer worth talking to me. I don't even want to see you anymore. »
With these words, Uchiha Sasuke walked out of his older brother's family home. He had been harsh with these words but his brother had to open his eyes and see that he will never be happy with a woman like Izumi, a woman he no longer loves.
