A review of "Gaslight" by Rachel Rose (AKA officialrachelrose).

Note: I originally read this book for free on Wattpad, but now it is a paid story (or you can buy a print copy on Amazon for $10.99). I'm honestly glad that I read it while it was free, because I wouldn't have paid for it. Now, after reading it, it is 100% worth paying for.Where do I begin with this book? I had taken a massively long hiatus from Wattpad (several years), and this book kicked off my new obsession. It was a stunningly slow burn and written so well. It's being published (this month actually) and I was tempted to buy a copy before I even finished the version on Wattpad. I preordered it immediately after finishing.
I love that this book handles attraction, affection, love, lust, sadness, and all the other "things" so well. There is a beautiful juxtaposition between Maddie's home life and her ever evolving situation with Hayden (also... the name Hayden). Rose has a gift for not overstating or over-explaining situations, instead letting them play out in the reader's mind. She makes it realistic yet it's still an escape from every day life. It doesn't have an agenda other than sharing a beautiful, well-crafted story. I whole heartedly recommend this book - you won't be disappointed.
Ps. I'm currently reading another book of hers, Girl on Track, which is also really good (but I might be a little bit partial to Gaslight).

RandomA list of books I've read and my two cents about them. This isn't mean as a negative mark against any writers and it's as much for myself (so I can look back and find good books to reread at times) as it is for anyone else.
