A review of "Through My Window" a Netflix movie based on the Wattpad novel of the same name by Ariana Godoy.

So I honestly almost didn't watch this movie because it's in Spanish and I don't speak Spanish. However, I'm really glad that I watched it (as awkward as the English dubbing was). There's something about many of the stories on Wattpad that draw you in. Read any of my 4+ starred books and you'll see. The intrigue, the feelings, the unexplainable pull. Rarely, if ever, do movies contain those same intangibles. I am so excited about Wattpad starting to make movies because maybe movies will finally have the same qualities as some of my favorite books (now, if only they could make some in English *fingers crossed*... and no, the After series is not as good as I was hoping).Raquel and Ares' characters have depth, they're portrayed realistically by the actors too. The initial stalker tendencies displayed by Raquel are a little disturbing, but, if you can get past that, it's a truly moving story with phenomenal intimacy. At first, it seems like a lot of sex-related scenes. However, I started realizing that it was one of the rare occasions that sex (or general intimacy) was actually moving. Usually sex is just gratuitous, thrown in my screenwriters and directors to sell their passable plot. These scenes will actually make your breath catch. Passion that you can feel through the screen. It's not just a pornographic display of lust. It's so real, so raw, so beautiful. I encourage you to look past the language dubbing (if you're an English-speaker) and become enthralled with Raquel and Ares' story.

RandomA list of books I've read and my two cents about them. This isn't mean as a negative mark against any writers and it's as much for myself (so I can look back and find good books to reread at times) as it is for anyone else.
