Chapter 3: Perhaps, a Trick from the Light?

During Eden's walk into the next room, he noticed his Sacred Orb shining blindingly bright to nearly a miniature Sun.

"What the-!" He exclaimed shielding his eyes with his hands from the bright light. After what felt like a few seconds the light dims back to its normal state of a dim glow. Noticing the lower light levels back to their previous state Eden lowered his hands down to his sides in confusion.

[...How frightening...]

"DM, what exactly happened? I know Sacred Orb did something, but I don't know what?" Eden asked his newfound System in his mind.

[...I cannot tell you what happened exactly as even I am extremely surprised this happened. Just know Sacred Orb did something remarkable for you.]

Eden sighs hearing this, before stating, "It seems I am not ready yet BUT what I can infer from this was I need to say "Thank you" to Sacred Orb. So, I will." Eden then reached below his neck to grab the Sacred Orb and looked at it.

"Thank you! You apparently did me a huge favor. Or perhaps much more than DM lets on. Since either two things I can guess is 1) Something ahead would have negatively impacted me or 2) Something threatened my entire being beyond the veils here." Eden said giving thanks to Sacred Orb. 

And with Eden's guesses, he is more leaning towards guess number 2 due to the endless unknowns of higher powers, since if it was number 1 then it would have happened much earlier when he was lying down. DM's comment while monotone and robotic, provides enough context clues on only 2 guess outcomes. Nothing too bad but, Eden hopes to know why was he threatened for just existing or more exactly what would be the most likely reason?

"Well, literally no use worrying about it now. I need to stay on track." Eden said towards himself continuing on the walk that leads to the other side.

A little bit later he notices an odd grass patch in the middle of the area, lit by the Proud Sun peering through the cracks above to give enough light around for the grass to grow. 

"Hm~, that's strange how exactly did grass manage to grow here, it is extremely isolated from anything to give life. And the ground is not exactly made of good soil, or is it?" Eden said towards himself.

"You know what. Easy answer different world, different rules. This grass is just genetically built different (oh this would be something cool to research, maybe the understanding of my world's law doesn't ap--)" Eden mumbled under his breath whilst circling around the grass patch.

Suddenly, a small mound of dirt slowly starts to form under Eden's Surprised and slightly wary eyes.

Then a buttercup flower pops out from the ground, normally Eden would question this. The keyword here is normally, since the flower had a face that looked incredibly apathetic yet confused.

""Uh, hello."" said the confused human and flower looking at each other. Silence followed after the accidental sync, which Eden starts of the potential conversation first.

"Well how about this, I shall go first then you follow up with introductions, don't kill me now since it'd be pretty lame." Eden finished off with a small joke at the end, while on the inside hoping it stays that way.

"...Alright then, seems fair enough, I guess. I don't have much to introduce anyways." The flower said with a sigh. Eden took note of the flowers tone despite its apparent apathy.
